Everyone suddenly seemed to have found the backbone and acted immediately.

Luo Wencheng was carefully moved into Lu Chong's long, super-class car. Lu Chong didn't need to accompany him, but he hesitated while standing by the car and followed in: "Drive fast."

"Yes." The driver was solemn and serious, and the car sped up as soon as he stepped on the gas.

The back seat was occupied by Luo Wencheng and the doctor. For the first time since Lu Chong came to power, he condescended to sit in the passenger seat. He looked through the rearview mirror at Luo Wencheng, who was lying pale as death. Listening to his unconscious moans, Lu Chong frowned. His face seemed to be frozen with a layer of ice, and the air pressure around him was horribly low.

The driver glanced at him carefully, startled, and quickly concentrated on driving.

Sure enough, the ambulance was encountered halfway, and the patient was immediately transferred to the ambulance. The application of various professional instruments and methods quickly followed. At the same time, the ambulance turned around and drove fast to the hospital.

......

When Luo Wencheng woke up, he found himself lying on a soft bed. There was a faint smell of medicine in the air. Obviously, it was still night. The ceiling light was on, a bit harsh. Luo Wencheng closed his eyes. His head was still dizzy, he was lazy and had no strength, and he didn't want to move.

When he was rescued, he was still conscious and quite awake. He just pretended to be delirious and expressed his pain unreservedly. When he heard Lu Chong's voice, he knew that his plan was half successful.

However, as soon as the "punishment time" was over, he really fainted. At that time, he was still in Lu Chong's car and didn't know what happened later.

A conversation gradually reached him from outside the door: "...Fortunately, the rescue was timely. If it had been a little later it would be difficult to say what would have happened. Although the patient is out of danger now, there might be sequelae. He should stay at the hospital for observation for a period of time."

"Okay, I see. Thank you for your hard work." A low, magnetic voice said. The voice was quiet and felt particularly powerful.

Luo Wencheng opened his eyes, a strange look flashing across his face. Did Lu Chong even follow him to the hospital?

The door of the ward was pushed open, and Luo Wencheng immediately closed his eyes and pretended to be asleep. He heard the sound of leather shoes stepping on the floor. It was deliberately soft, as if the man was worried that he would wake him up. The steps approached his bed.

Only then did Luo Wencheng move gently, as if he had just woken up. His eyelashes trembled and he opened his eyes.

As if his eyes were irritated by the light, he tilted his head uncomfortably and met a pair of eyes as deep and quiet as the sea.

Those eyes seemed to contain a myriad of complex emotions ebbing and flowing in them, and yet there seemed to be nothing, indifference and silence so complete that it was impossible to fathom.

Luo Wencheng was taken aback for a moment, staring at the man blankly without speaking.

Only then did Lu Chong speak: "I woke you up." His tone was so calm that if Luo Wencheng didn't know he had just walked through the gate of the ghosts, he would have thought he had just taken a nap.

He smiled faintly and was equally calm: "It's you again." He slowly closed his eyes and said with a sigh, "It seems that every time you see me I'm unlucky. It's really embarrassing."
