*EVA'S POV*

"Oi kids, kids get out."

I hear Arlo groan. I open my eyes and see the librarian.

Oh shit.

I'm still under the embrace of Arlo.

I feel so safe which is such an odd feeling for me.

"Both of you get out." The lady sneers.

Me and Arlo quickly get up and grab our phones running down the stairs and out the now unlocked door.

Arlo giggles as we walk to the bus stop once again.

"I can't believe we stayed there the whole night." I mutter looking up at him.

"Me either. It was really fun."

"It was."

Arlo just smiles his gaze dropping to my lips where i have a small smile.

"I-i uhm enj- nevermind." I shake my head.

He steps infront of me with furrowed brows.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing."

"But then why did you stop talking?"

I let out a small sigh.

"I-i enjoy your company." I mumble.

His smile only widens as his cheeks turn pink.

"I love your company too."

"Really?" I tilt my head.

"Of course."

"Don't you think i'm wei-" I quickly shut my mouth before i speak any further.

"Keep talking." Arlo mutters tucking my hair behind my right ear.

Holy moly.

"D-don't you think i'm weird? I mean your like popular and i'm not a-and you know your fun and energetic and i'm just new girl at school."

"Thank you but that doesn't mean i think your weird or whatever your head tells you, Eva. Just because i'm popular or whatever doesn't mean i don't want to hang out with you. I could care less about my popularity really."

"Yeah?"

"Mhm."

I smile gently appreciating he listened to what i had to say.

I feel like i could just open up to him. It doesn't make sense.

I've never felt such a strong connection to someone i barely know.

My phone rings pulling me out my thoughts. I grab it out my pocket mumbling a sorry to Arlo as i answer.

"Where the fuck are you?" My dads voice rings in my ear.
