Chapter 9: Plans

Ayanokoji POV

Our class was getting somewhat better, people had started to come to class and attend it regularly and also worry about their behavior

The time for the break came as I walked over to Hirata as Horikita walked alongside me, he noticed us and smiled

"Ayanokoji and Horikita, I actually wanted to talk to you about something!" he said as I replied immediately

"Is it about a study group?" I said as he nodded, a little surprised at my guess

"Y-yea, how'd you know?" he said as I shrugged

"You're a smart guy and kind guy, if anyone, it would be you who would be the one to take initiative for something like this. Study groups are simply the most logical conclusion" I explained as Hirata nodded a little taken aback by my logic

Did I overdo it?

"Y-yeah, I had a few people ask around and they told me they were happy to join! I got basically everyone to agree except Kouenji, Sudo, Yamauchi and Ike" he explained as I nodded, I think I can piece together why they had refused

Sudo was too busy with his club activities and had no interest in studying, it hadn't seeped into his mind that he needed to pass the exams to continue pursuing his dreams of becoming a pro here

Yamauchi and Ike simply didn't like Hirata, maybe due to how favorably he is seen by everyone around and that would lead them to be jealous

As for Kouenji..... he is playing by the rhythm of his own drum. He is probably fine regardless

"Horikita, any ideas?" I asked as me and Hirata look at her as she gives out her suggestion

"We could simply divide all the people who had above 80% and give them a few students each, we can follow the materials given by Miss Chabashira and just work on everyone's weak areas." she suggested as Hirata nodded but I shook my head

"What's wrong with what I said? I believe I covered everything" Horikita said as I explained

"I agree with most of it except of the material that Miss Chabashira gave to us. The Mid terms according to the study planner provided by the school has entirely different topics and we haven't received an email or any notice by the school that our syllabus has changed. Miss Chabashira might have given us the wrong syllabus" I explained as Horikita and Hirata were surprised by the reveal

"Miss Chabashira gave us the wrong syllabus? B-but why would she do that? couldn't she double check?" Hirata asked logically as I shook my head

"It doesn't matter, what matters is that we do our syllabus well, I will also go and confirm the syllabus with Miss Chabashira" I said as the both of them nodded

"Also, I want to discuss the groups. I want me, Horikita, Ike, Yamauchi and Sudo in the same group. No matter what happens, do not put Kushida with Ike and Yamauchi." I said as Hirata looked at me confused

"Why? Kushida is friendly with those two"  he said as I thought, I can't reveal Kushida's true feelings, it's for her to show and decide on

"They both have their heads in the air when its concerned with Kushida, so it's better to just not have them in the same group. Plus with Horikita we should be able to tutor them well enough" I explained as he nodded, it seemed my logic had earnt his favor and he is just going with what I am saying now

"Alright Ayanokoji, I'll make sure it's done that way. Any other requests?" he asked as I nodded

"The tutors and how the students are divided, I want one student which failed in each tutor's group with Horikita's exception as she has 3. That leaves 4 more. As I have 4 main people who will be tutoring, it should be fine." I explained as he nodded
