Ayanokoji POV
The second day of this exam had came, I woke up early and immediately went to reclaim all of our spots.
I made my way around as I see an unexpected person awake.
"Kikyou, why're you up so early?" I asked her, it was barely 5:30 am and I had woken up early to reclaim the spots
"Kiyo.... I just couldn't sleep well in the cramped tent" she said as I nodded, sleeping with about 10 other people doesn't seem comfortable truly
"I understand, let's think of a solution later today, till then I need your help for later today" I said as she nodded and tilted her head as if to ask what I want to do
"I am thinking of exploring and meeting other classes, hopefully deducing their leaders" I said as Kikyou asked me a little surprise
"Eh? Weren't ya going for a spot occupation strategy? Why bother going out of the way to do that?" She asked as I shrugged
"Might as well try and get the most points, it'll only benefit us more" I said as she slowly nodded, understanding my intention
"Alright..... when will we be going?" She asked as I simply said
"At around 9 o'clock? Give or take." I said as she nodded, it was late enough for everyone to mostly be awake, atleast leaders and more active members of classes
Also the person who was chosen to be the leader would would need to be awake to claim spots, if I am lucky, I can catch that happening as well.
"So Kiyo..... can we talk about something?" Kikyou asked as I nodded
"Yes? What exactly would you like to talk about?" I asked politely as she sighed
"What's the deal? Why're you so...... you?" She said as I looked at her flabbergasted
"Is being me an insult suddenly?" I asked out of confusion as she sighed
"No just..... ah fuck it! You are abnormal as all hell!" She said crudely as I nodded
My upbringing has lead me to be quite an abnormal specimen yes.
"I want to know, why. You helped me and I am curious as all hell. What secrets do you hide?" She asked me bluntly, not giving mind to her sheer bluntness
It seems that Kikyou's sheer curiosity and urge to know someone's secrets is still present, well. It's a part of her character
"I am just someone who was homeschooled, I had a super strict parent and didn't live much except of studying and physical activities" I explained to her as she looked at me with a deadpan
"Bull-fucking-shit. You and I both know that's fake as hell. Do you not trust me? I told you my whole life story and stuff I've never told anyone! And you can't even tell me this little?" She said as I sighed
"Kikyou, please. Something's I just can't share. Maybe I will someday, but I can't right now." I said, trying to explain my situation as she narrowed her eyes and clenched her fists before giving me her fake smile
"Alright! That's alright, I can understand your reluctance in sharing your secrets with me!" She said with her smile as I sighed
"It isn't you Kikyou..... I just can't share this with anyone, it will bring more harm than good. I trust you, I've told you a lot of things about life around me. My past isn't something i can share so can you please let me have it? For now atleast?" I said as she sighed, looked at me and then looked down
