Ayanokoji POV
I had been texting Hiyori when I could, wanting every little moment I could with her.
I met up with Horikita to discuss the mail with her, about the next special exam
"Kiyotaka, are you doing well?" She asked, looking at my arm as I nodded
"Yes, I'm doing fine. Are you alright as well?" I asked her as she nodded to my concern
"Yes, now let's get down to business, this is the opportunity we have been waiting for, the chance to surpass class A" she said as I nodded, we need to increase our lead as much as we can and bring them down, this way we get the best possible outcome.
"A special examination will be starting soon. Gather at the designated time in the designated rooms. Students who are more than 10 minutes late for the meeting will receive a penalty. Go to room 204 on the second floor by 18:00 today. Since there is only 20 minutes left until then, please wash your hands and keep your phone in silent mode or turn it off entirely." The mail was read out by me as Horikita looked at me and simply said
"Ah, we have different times..... I am told to meet at 20:40" she said as I nodded, understanding that this exam we would most likely be split.
"Well I wish you luck, I should go there soon and be ready for the exam" I said as she nodded as well, smiling a little as she bid me farewell.
I made my way to the meeting site as I see Karuizawa, yukimura and sotomura from my class. I also see Ichinose there who gives me a friendly wave which I return
I see Ibuki there as well who when I look at, averts her eyes not wanting to meet my eye contact
I sit down besides the other class D students as Karuizawa asks me
"Hey..... what do you think the exam will be?" She asked me as I shrugged
"I've got no clue, this was very random if anything" I said as I inwardly disagreed with my words
It makes sense for the school to use this summer break as a way to take multiple special exams, besides it gives us more opportunities if anything.
All students sat as Mr Mashima arrived and began his explanation
"As you all received in the mail to gather here, I shall explain what the special exam will be. Due to some unforeseen circumstances we are taking all members of the group at once instead of taking them individually by class." He explained as all the students absorbed the knowledge, he continued as he explained the exam and how it worked
He explained the various outcomes and how the VIP system worked and how each class could get the best outcome for themselves by guessing the other classes VIP's.
"The groups have to meet twice for one hour every day moving forward until the exam ends, this shall occur between the hours of 4-9 pm, what is discussed is upto the group" he explained briefly as he then proceeded to make his exit
Well the exam was extremely straight forward, to get the best result, we need to submit the name of the VIP correctly before the exam's end
"Alright if that's all, I wish you all luck" Mr Mashima said as he exited the room, I looked at Karuizawa who was on her phone, most likely talking to Hirata as I left as well, not having much to do but..... the name of the exam was curious
The "Zodiac" exam..... could there be a pattern to how the VIP was chosen? As it seems this school has a pattern with things like this.
