Chapter 4

Race day.

Jaida's pov:

I woke up at 11am to my alarm,

i had already missed breakfast so i decided to just get showered and head down to the paddock,

i scanned my card before walking in and heading to the trailers as Carmen told me to meet her there,

"here she is" i heard Logan say as he walked over,
"hi" i replied,
"hey, where you been? thought you'd have been here ages ago" he said,
"well don't know her very well then" Lando said as he was walking past making me laugh,

he looked at me to make sure Logan wasn't making me feel uncomfortable before heading to his trailer,

"Norris is starting to annoy me recently" Logan said making me look at him,
"think very carefully before slagging Lando off to me" i replied with an eyebrow raised,
"you've only known him a few days what do you mean" he said laughing,
"okay? your point being?" i replied as he awkwardly giggled,
"nothing uh-" he was saying,
"i gotta go meet Carmen, see you later" i said interrupting him,
"yeah see ya" he replied as i walked off

"jj" Lando said as i was about to walk past his trailer,
i looked to my right to see him sat on the steps,
"hey Lanny" i said making him raise an eyebrow,
"Lanny as well now?" he asked as i nodded making him giggle,

"you alright?" he asked referring to the interaction i just had,
"yeah i'm good, he started trying to slag you off though" i replied as he laughed,
"course he did, i keep cock blocking him" he said making me giggle,
"good. I'd rather not have to go to George asking him to tell his f1 colleague to back off" i replied as he nodded,
"you don't want a bit of Logan then?" he asked making me shake my head dramatically,
"don't be daft" i replied making him giggle,

"alright i need to go and find Carmen, good luck Landinho" i said as he nodded and smiled,
"oh we're back to Landinho are we?" he asked as i nodded,
"alright jj you have fun in the merc garage" he added making me giggle before walking away to George's trailer,

"girl where were you?" Carmen asked as i walked over,
"Logan started talking to me- then as i made my way over here i got talking to Lan" i replied as she nodded,
"oh Carlos is hosting a party after the race by the way" she said as i nodded,

"thank god, i'm so in need of a party" i replied as she nodded with a laugh,
"i know me too" she replied making me giggle as we walked to the vip area,

"what did Logan want then?" she asked as we took our seats in the vip area,
"i don't even know, he just randomly talks to me" i replied as she nodded,
"i think he likes me. He started trying to slag Lando off because Lando's always there when he's trying to talk to me" i added making her giggle,

"do you like Logan though that's the question" she said as i started aggressively shaking my head,
"absolutely not" i replied making her laugh,
"what's wrong with Logan?" she asked with a laugh making me giggle,
"i don't know he's just not-" i was saying,
"Lando?" she asked making me look at her shocked,
"what do you mean? Me and Lando are friends" i replied as she smirked,
"you'd be a good couple though" she said as i shook my head,

after hearing Carmen say that, Lando was on my mind even more confusing me, Lando and I have known each other a few days there's no possible way she thinks we're into each other,

i was snapped out of my thoughts when the drivers started taking their place on the grid,

it wasn't until the lights began to go out that the nerves struck,

i had my eyes on Lando as the light went out and away they went,

"this is a stressful sport to watch" i said to Carmen making her laugh,
"tell me about it" she replied,
