Chapter 14

Lando's pov:

"who is it?" i called out,
"some ginger girl" she replied making my heart drop,
"shit" i said to myself before walking out the bathroom to see Jaida stood there with pain in her eyes,
"J-" i was saying,
"your clearly busy don't worry" she interrupted me before quickly walking away before the girl shut the door,

"you need to leave" i said to her as she crossed her arms and sighed before grabbing her stuff and changing out my shirt into her own clothes,
"you have my number if you need anything" she said with a wink before walking out,

'why should i feel bad? she was getting on with some random guy at the beach' i thought to myself.

Jaida's pov:

the smile dropped from my face as some blonde model looking girl answered the door in Lando's shirt,

"who is it?" i heard Lando asked from the bathroom making my heart sink even more,
"some ginger girl" she replied before Lando came into view,
"J-" he was saying before i interrupted him,
"your clearly busy don't worry" i said before walking away as quick as possible,

as soon as i got back to my room the tears started flowing out my eyes for the second time today, George was right.

"fuck this" i said to myself before going on my phone and booking a flight home tomorrow,

what's the point in staying when my best friend doesn't like me and the one guy I'm falling for has screwed me over,

once i'd booked my flight i left an outfit out for tomorrow before packing everything else away,

once everything was packed i climbed into bed and set an alarm before falling asleep.

The next morning,

i woke up to my alarm, got showered and changed before checking out of the hotel and heading to the airport,

i filled Lorenzo in on everything that happened and he definitely wasn't too happy,

i was on the phone with him when i was getting a load of texts from Lando, Carmen, Max and Ria,

i replied to Ria telling her i was going home before turning my phone off and boarding the plane,

after a few hours i landed back in the uk,

i then got an uber from the airport back to Kings Lynn,

once i was finally home i put my dirty clothes in the wash before falling back onto my sofa and checking my phone,

Lando's pov:

when i didn't see Jaida at breakfast i didn't think too much of it as she skipped breakfast a lot but when i heard George and Carmen wondering where she was too i couldn't help but wonder as well,

i texted her, even though i knew i wouldn't get a reply,

"hey where's Jaida?" Ria asked me as i shrugged,
"what's happened Lando" Max asked making me look at him, he knew me too well,
"when i went to find her yesterday i saw her on a beach with some guy, so i got jealous and ended up sleeping with a random girl, but Jaida saw this girl in my shirt as she came to my door" i replied as their jaws dropped,
"Lando for fuck sake" Max said,
"she was with a guy as well" i replied,
"oh she was sat next to a guy that just obviously meant she wanted to shag him" Ria said sarcastically as i shrugged,
"your unbelievable" she added as i looked down,

"Lando where's Jaida?" George asked as he walked over,
"i don't know" i replied with a shrug,
"look i know about whatever you two are she told me. We had an argument over it and i haven't seen her since" he said,
"so your the reason she left the paddock crying yesterday" Ria hissed making Carmen look at George with evils,
"if it was just before qualifying then yeah that would've been me" he said as Carmen started shaking her head,

"i've just texted her" Ria said,
"me too" Carmen replied,
"shouldn't Lando text her? Surely she'd reply to him" George said as Max and Ria looked at me,
"i have texted her, no reply" i replied as he nodded,

about an hour later i was in the McLaren garage when Ria came in,

"she's gone home" she said as i looked at her,
"she's home?" i repeated as she nodded making me sigh,
"i fucked up" i replied as she nodded,
"yup" she said,
"you need to talk to her" she added,
"do you not think i've been trying? she isn't answering" i replied as i looked down,

"look i don't approve of what you've done and i think your a fucking idiot for doing it, but i can see your falling for her, the way you look at her, eyes don't lie" she said as i nodded,
"i don't wanna lose her" i replied as she sighed before pulling her phone out and passing it to me,

"call her" she said as i took her phone and nodded,

Jaida: hey Ria
Lando: jj please don't hang up
Jaida: Lando i don't want to talk to you right now
Lando: i need to talk to you please
*call has ended*

"she's hung up almost instantly- fuck Ria i need to go to Kings Lynn and see her" i said,
"how? you have a race in a few hours" she replied,
"after the race i'm going to England instead of staying here for a few more days" i said as she nodded,
"i'll get her address of Carmen for you" she replied,
"thanks Ria" i said as she nodded.

"Lando have to heard from her?" George asked from outside the garage,
"she's gone home" Ria replied as he sighed,
"okay can you just make sure she's okay for me please?" he asked as Ria nodded,
"thanks" he said before walking away,

Jaida's pov:

i sat on my sofa with the tv on as i watched the grand prix,

i was in the kitchen getting a drink when i heard the commentators getting louder,

"Lando Norris has crashed!" i heard one of them say making my heart drop before running into the living room to see what was going on,

"oh my god".
