Chapter 9

18th June 2023: race day

Jaida's pov:

i'm currently sat with Carmen, Lily and Alexandra watching the race,

we were all once again sat there nervous not talking to anyone as we watched the race,

the race then finally ended easing all our nerves as we went and watched Max, Fernando and Lewis on the podium,

me and Carmen found George as Lily found Oscar and Alexandra found Charles,

"you did well i'm proud of you" Carmen said as she kissed George,
"ew" i said making them giggle,
"better luck next time ay Russell" i added making him scoff,

George then went and did some interviews as me and Carmen walked to his trailer to wait there for him,

on our way to his trailer i caught eyes with him,

i locked eyes with Lando as i walked past, we sent a small smile to each other before looking away,

"what was that?" Carmen asked as he went into George's trailer,
"what was what?" i asked,
"whatever that was between you and Lando??" she replied as i sighed,
"something happened your not telling me" she said as i started to blush making her gasp,

"OH MY GOD JAID" she yelled,
"JAIDA YOU HAVE TO TELL ME EVERYTHING" she yelled again,
"STOP YELLING" i yelled back,
"ILL STOP YELLING WHEN YOU START YAPPING" she yelled,

"alright alright just shut up and listen" i said as she nodded,
"basically, a few days ago when i had the fever really bad, Lando came to my room after testing....." i said,

~•flashback•~

"come here" he said as he grabbed both my hands trying to pull me back to him,
"no" i resisted before smirking making him shake his head,

he then wrapped his arms round my waist catching me by surprised as he pulled me onto his lap,

he looked up into my eyes as i looked down into his,

"lando" i said as our heads inched closer and closer like there was an invisible string pulling me towards him,
"shh" he replied before connecting our lips setting off mental fireworks,

i placed my hands on his cheeks deepening the kiss as his hands remained on my hips,
the kiss got more and more hungry as it went on,

once we pulled apart for air we rested our foreheads together,
i smoothed his cheek with my thumb before climbing off his lap and checking the time,

"i should go"
"you should go" we said at the same time,

"Lando" i said catching his attention before he walked out the door,
"thank you for the chocolates and orange juice" i said as he smiled and nodded,
"your welcome, get some sleep" he replied before leaving and closing the door behind him leaving me with tons of new thoughts.

"oh my god???? wait you haven't spoken since?" she said as i nodded,
"nope, it's just awkward. It shouldn't have happened" i replied as she raised an eyebrow,
"it was meant to happen babe you just need to stop trying to protect a friendship with someone there's clearly meant to be something more with" she said before the door opened revealing George,
