Chapter 18

20th October: qualifying

Jaida's pov:

Today is qualifying and me and Lando still haven't spoken about what almost happened,

i skipped breakfast this morning so i got showered and changed before heading straight to the paddock,

my mum was supposed to be here tomorrow for the race which i was happy about,

i saw Carmen and George leaving the hotel as i was so i caught up to them and walked with them,

me and Carmen were talking about the most random stuff when George started saying my name,

"Jaida!" he said making me look at him,
"what?" i asked with a giggle as Carmen had just said the funniest thing,

he gestured to just outside the McLaren garage making me look over,

my smile quickly dropped,

"what the fuck is Gigi doing here and why is she all over Lando?" i asked as rage began to build up in me,
"i'm gonna hit her" i added,
"Jaida violence is not the answer" Carmen said,
"no your right, it's the solution" i replied as George grabbed my arm stopping me from going over,

"no Jaida not in front of all the cameras" he said before leading me into the Mercedes garage.

Lando's pov:

i was walking over to the McLaren garage when this girl with blonde hair came over to me, she had a vip paddock pass so she must be another random influencer they always invite here,

"hey your Lando right?" she asked as i nodded,
"yeah hi" i replied as she smiled at me,
"it's really good to meet you, I'm Gigi" she said as i nodded,

Gigi.....i could've sworn i've heard that name before but i couldn't put my finger on it,

"uh lando?" she said snapping me out my thoughts,
"yeah? sorry i was daydreaming" i replied as she let out this atrocious laugh putting a hand on my arm,
"you are funny" she said as i let out a fake giggle and moved away slightly so her hand fell off my arm,

"okay i'm gonna go, have a good time" i said as she nodded and pulled me in for a hug,
"good luck you'll smash it" she replied with a wink as i awkwardly smiled and walked into the garage.

Jaida's pov: a few hours later

"who the hell does she think she is just showing up here" i part yelled,
"and Lando? What does she want with him??" i added as i paced around in the Merc garage,
"i don't know but don't be angry with Lando, he doesn't know who she is" Carmen replied as i nodded,
"i know, i need to go and find him" i said before walking out the garage and over to the McLaren garage,

i walked over to see Lando showing her the car making me even more angry,

"Jaida!" she screeched making me roll my eyes,
"Gigi." i replied bluntly as Lando looked at me confused before looking at her,

he had just worked out who she was and it really did show on his face,

"i see you've met my step sister" i confirmed to him,
"yes he's just been showing me round his car, isn't it beautiful" she said as i looked at her, i knew she wasn't talking about the car when she said isn't it beautiful,

"uh Gigi could you give us a minute?" Lando said to her as she looked at him,
"what why" she asked,
"give us a damn minute" i snapped at her making her roll her eyes before leaving,

"jj i promise you i had no idea who she was i thought she was just a random influencer" he said,
"don't worry, i knew you wouldn't have known who she was when i first saw you guys outside the garage" i replied as he nodded,
"but just know she's a pain in the ass" i said,
"i've already worked that out don't worry" he replied making me giggle,

"Jaida!" a familiar voice said sternly from behind me making me turn to see my mum stood there with Gigi next to her,

"Mum!" i said with a smile,
"why have you kicked your sister out?" she asked making my smile drop,
"STEP sister. And because i wanted a moment to talk to Lando alone" i replied,
"anything you have to say you can say in front of your sister" she said making me roll my eyes,
"you haven't seen me in months and the first thing you say to me is about my STEP sister? Your unbelievable" i replied before walking out making sure to bump shoulders with Gigi making her nearly fall over,

that was definitely satisfying,

"Jaida!" Lando said as he came after me,
"i hate her. Her and her stupid pigass dad have turned even my mum against me" i shouted as the tears came rolling out my eyes,

he instantly pulled me into his arms as i cried into his chest,

"promise me you want talk to her anymore, i can't lose you to her too" i said as he kissed my head,
"i promise i won't talk to her anymore jj, your too important to me to lose" he replied making butterflies fill my stomach, this man really has a way with words,

"Jaida? what's wrong?" I heard George ask as i hid my face in Lando's chest,
"Lando what's wrong with her" he then asked Lando,

"can i?" Lando asked me as i nodded,

"Gigi is here and the first thing her mum did when she saw her was have a go about how she kicked Gigi out the McLaren garage" Lando said as George sighed,
"i should've known she'd lied about bringing your dad here when she asked for 2 passes" George replied,

"i'm sorry Jaida this is my fault" he said as i turned my head to look at him,
"no it's not your fault, it's my mums for thinking it's okay to bring her here" i replied as he nodded slightly,

"Jaida! what was that?" my mum asked as she walked over making me let go of Lando and turn round to face her,

"why did you lie to George? telling him you were bringing dad?" i asked her as she sighed,
"i knew he wouldn't get me two passes if he knew i was bringing Gigi, please Jaida i just want you guys to get along" she said making me roll my eyes,
"she fucked my boyfriend and you expect us to get along??" i replied,
"she made a mistake!" she said making me scoff,
"no. she knew exactly what she was doing and who she was doing for that matter" i replied,
"she's dead to me" i added before walking away to the hotel.

"JJ!" i heard Lando say making me turn to face him,
"i've got to qualify but after i'll come and see you, there's some stuff i wanna talk about" he said as i nodded with a smile,
"sounds good" i replied before turning away again and walking towards the hotel.

he has stuff he wants to talk to me about...
