Juviel had woken up fully recovered, which was surprising to him. Afterall, he had been fighting nonstop for.. For how long was it again? Even his sense of time had been distorted during that battle, his actions robotic as he repeated the same attacks over and over again for DAYS.

He decided to attribute it to the immortality he gained and sighed in amazement, Fu Hua was too overpowered, right?

“Hm? Are you feeling better now?”

Hearing that familiar voice, he turned to the direction of the voice. Seeing her after so long made him realise once more about how mesmerising she was. So he couldn't help but stare for a few more seconds, this was noticed by Fu Hua, but alas she wasn't a virgin for no reason. She didn't notice anything weird and only thought there were some issues that weren't fixed in his soul.

“Hm? What's wrong? Your soul took quite a ridiculous amount of damage, what did you do?”

Hearing her question, Juviel snapped out of his daze and chuckled.

“So I was right.. They dealt that type of damage.”

[.. You were hanging on only due to your will power. Impressive. User, you have fought continuously for 7 days.. Rewards will be issued after you are done flirting with Fu Hua.]

That was the conclusion the Salvation System had after she analysed his battle. As expected, even Fu Hua had the same conclusion, this was actually ridiculous considering that she wasn't even there. .

“Your soul looked like it had shattered into pieces long ago but was forcefully kept together. Hiss… Are you seriously okay?”

At first she sounded amazed but her tone turned from being amazed to being extremely concerned towards the end of the sentence. He felt his heart becoming warm upon noticing her care for him. So he smiled and replied,

“Me? I'm extremely fine, your MANTIS genes are quite overpowered. If not I would have died, afterall, I fought for 7 days nonstop.”

Upon hearing the first few words, Fu Hua was relieved and smiled as her tension eased. Then when she heard the MANTIS part, her smile froze. Wait, what? She wanted to stop him right there and then to ask him, but decided to hear him out. Then she was shocked again.

7 days? That certainly wasn't something a human could do at all! They were fighting undead too, so they dealt soul type attacks too! He actually became this strong within a week!?

She exhaled sharply at this realisation.

Hiss.. Where did he get the MANTIS genes from, though?

“MANTIS? My genes are still with me, though?”

Actually, she hoped he didn't get those genes. Mainly because it would indicate that he shed the coils of the mortals and became an immortal. Which.. Was something very tragic.

“You feel a connection with me, right? Through this connection, I can borrow one of your abilities per day. Of course, your MANTIS genes were a tad bit too physical, so I couldn't simply ‘return’ them without killing myself. Thus, I became a MANTIS too.”

This was the first time she had heard of this explanation so she was stunned. Feeling a bit speechless about how ridiculous this sounded, she took a deep breath to calm down and decided to ask a bit more.

“In theory, that means I can borrow your abilities too, right?”

This time Juviel was stunned, hey, in theory that's true.

[It can be done.]

“Why didn't you tell me, bruh.”

[You didn't ask!]

System spoke in an aggrieved tone. Juviel ignored it and nodded to Fu Hua, looking curious as to what she wanted to borrow. Seeing his affirmation, she felt more confident and spoke up.

“How about you give me a list of your abilities? Of course, if it troubles you, please think of my request as having not been requested.”

Juviel nodded right after she finished speaking, she would be with him for basically his whole life anyways. So why not?

Fu Hua was surprised, that easily? Maybe he isn't as bad as I thought he was?

Whilst Fu Hua was in a daze due to how fast he agreed, he walked towards her and stood right infront of her. He wanted to hug her but decided not to after he recalled how strong she was. She might just snap him into two by accident. He may be immortal now, but he still felt pain.

Fu Hua snapped out of her daze when he stopped infront of her. Only to start panicking after seeing how close he was. There were only the two of them in this place, so it only fed to her wild imagination on what he ‘intended’ to do.

Trying her best to avert her eyes, she still couldn't help but look at his well built figure again and again. He wore loose clothing but his sturdy chest still looked imposing. Especially after the MANTIS genes were added to the mix, his body seemed to be filled with power. His red eyes looked as if he was about to devour her. Feeling her heart doing marathons, she wanted to run but was afraid of hurting his feelings too.

Whilst she was feeling conflicted on what to do, Juviel reached out his hand and patted her head. He spoke whilst gently caressing her hair.

“You have done well~. Thanks, Hua.”
