julianna smiled as she unloaded the boxes in her room. she was finally back in harlem, new york. "mommy, do you have my pink lamp?" julianna asked as she held a huge box in her arms. her room was nowhere near finished.

she still had to paint the walls, assemble her desk, bed, and dresser, and hang her tapestries. she wasn't doing that though, her dad was.

"no, ask your father," her mother, magnolia spoke as she hung up the framed photographs on the white, plastered wall. "ok," she shrugged walking over to her father.

"dad, where's my lamp?" julianna asked kicking her feet back and forth.

"check the car," Rakim suggested opening a Snapple from the fridge.

julianna opened the trunk, rummaging through the bags. a group of boys walked across the street giving her a couple of stares. she smiled and waved at them. two nodded as the other slightly mugged her looking her up and down.
