Kiara's Pov

"Agar tujhe pata hai ki tera dimaag tere ghutne mein hai, toh usse bekaar mein kyun ghumane deti ho? Bhagwan ne itna accha khasa dimag diya uska sahi istmaal kyun nahi karti tu? Tujhe lagta hai, tere paas itne kam problems hai, jo tune ek aur nayi problem ko gale paad liya?" And there goes Baba Samar, launching into another one of his free 'Enlightenment 101' sessions, with yours truly as the unwilling audience.

"Please, yr sammy mera dimag already kaharab hai, tu tere muft ka gyan dekar usse aur kharab mat kar." I snapped, feeling like I was about to pop a blood vessel.

"Glad to know you're self-aware, mam" he said, giving me a tight-lipped smile as I shot him a glare.

"Acha, agar tera stand-up show aur gyaan ka session khatam ho gaya ho toh, toh bataeinga, ki ab aage kya kare?"I asked him.

"Kya kare? Kya? Jo hitler kahengi vahi karenge. Tere jhuth ka kota tune already bhar kr overflow kar diya hai, ab chup chap india chal. Vaha ja kar dekhenge kya karna hai toh, tab tak aur kuch nahi karna hai." Samar replied, shaking his head like he was trying to dislodge a loose screw, while I sat there clutching my head like it was about to sprout wings and fly off.

And then... *ding!*... the lightbulb moment strikes!

"IDEA!", Samar groaned, clasping his hands together in mock prayer.

"Bhagwan ke liye, ab aur koi idea mat dena meri maa. Hume sort karna hai mess up nahi, please." he pleaded, giving me his best puppy-dog eyes, while I put on my best pouty face in response.

"Fine, okay, but now I have to go," I said as I got up from my seat and made my way towards the exit.

"Kahaan jaa rahi hai tu?" Sammy asked, trailing behind me.

"Dr. Ryan se milne. Ab agar India jaa rahi hoon toh unse milna toh padega na," I replied, unsure of how he'd react to this.

"Tu uss khajoor se milne kyun jaa rahi hai?" he yelled, making me rub my ears.

"Kyun chilla raha hai? Aur khajoor kya matlab? Tera problem kya hai Ryan se?" I asked, still not understanding his never-ending issue with Dr. Ryan.

"Kyunki woh number one flirt hai. Dekha nahi kaise line marta hai tujhpar? Mujhe pasand nahi. Aur Best Friend Commitment Act No. 5 ke mutabiq, jo mujhe pasand nahi voh tujhe bhi nahi pasand hona chahiye" he declared, placing his hand on his waist. I couldn't help but roll my eyes.

"Sammy, jo bhi ho, mujhe koi farak nahi padta. Par woh apne kaam mein achha hai. Aur mujhe nahi lagta, mujhe yeh tujhe batane ki zaroorat hai. Aur tu bhi jaanta hai, humein India jaane se pehle mujhe usse milna hi padega. Given my current state and the chances, we still need to check everything, improvements and all," I explained, and in an instant, his expression softened.

"Tension kyun leti hai? Tu jaanti hai sab theek hi hoga," he said, pulling me into a side hug.

"Sammy, hum sachai se nahi bhaag sakte," I said, knowing I couldn't delude myself with false hopes just for the sake of my sanity. Whatever the outcome, I had to accept it.

"Hmm, should I come too?" he asked, and I shook my head.

"No, you stay here. I'll go. Just do one thing for me – find out all the information about my so-called fake boyfriend, Veer Malhotra," I said, and he gave me a mischievous look.

"If you dare utter a word, main muh tod dungi tera," I threatened.

As I stepped into Dr. Ryan's office, I was greeted by his charming smile and welcoming arms. Without hesitation, he pulled me into a warm embrace, holding me a tad longer than necessary.
