A butterfly necklace

Your eyes so dark, like the endless night

Your smile so bright, like the sun in the sky

Your voice so warm, it shines like light

But your ignorance, so bitter

It makes me wonder why

Our "I love you" changed into a "goodbye"

I gave you that butterfly necklace

To remind you of me

But I can't recall when it turned into a nightmare from a dream

I heard you broke it, because you're trust was gone

I heard you're telling everyone, that I was always wrong.

Maybe it is for the best

Maybe my feelings were a bit too much expressed

Maybe I should have been aware

Maybe I should have been fair.

I still have my butterfly necklace

I still remember when I gave it to you

You smiled so bright, Your eyes lightened up

Maybe in another universe we won't have to go through this too

The blue butterfly and the golden tiara

Are the only memories I have left
of you.
