Eve-ning Sonnet

A long time ago, there was a God

Some kind of Adam He made as man

(Maiden from his rib - just a facade)

And some woman to complete his plan.

He took the best soil from His garden

To craft, for just one, mental amiss.

The two stood confused, made a pardon

And thus He gifted them great bliss.

Adam had her as tranquility

And she had Adam all for herself

Until God, to prove his equity,

Threw her away when Adam left by himself.

Since then she ponders that from his rib cage

A woman - Eve - shall spring and turn the page.
