There's an ant on my wall

There's an ant on my wall
It's moving left and right
It's moving up and down
It's moving all around

My people tell me to squash it
I only sit there and watch it
Is it hungry? Is it thirsty?
Is it tired of walking?

This ant started from my garden
Started from the bottom
And got all up in my kitchen
Walking, walking, walking

There's an ant on my wall
It's moving left and right
It's moving up and down
It's moving all around

My people tell me to kill it
I break my bread and I feed it
The drops of water that shine
and cast on reflections

This me started from an old ring
Started from the bottom
And got all up in their spring
Writing, writing, writing

There's an ant on my wall
It's moving left and right
It's moving up and down
It's moving all around

The ant that moves on, brother
The pen that writes on, sister
The passion I have, mother
Is mine to live on further
