Dear Diary,

Something happened today. Ayokong isulat dahil babasahin ni Ma'am Vanessa ang diary na ito at kapag nabasa niya iyon... OMG, hindi ko alam kung anong gagawin ko.

Pero you know what? Nakakawindang. What happened today is nakakawindang sagad. Why? Secret. Basta nakakawindang.

Sagad.

Hindi ko alam kung anong mararamdaman ko. At first I was in total shock, then in total rage, then in total depression, then in total confusion. Is it possible? Na sa loob ng less than thirty minutes eh maramdaman ko ang lahat ng iyon? I guess it's possible.

Ganoon eh. Ganoon ang naramdaman ko. And right now, I'm in total confusion.

"David, hindi papayag si Lindsay," bulong ko sa kanya.

Nandito kami ngayon sa office ng Drama Club para kausapin si Lindsay—ang President ng Drama Club—tungkol sa performance on school fair.

"O, tapos?"

"What do you mean? Hindi siya papayag kapag hindi ako magpe-perform."

"Leave it to me."

Pumasok si Lindsay at umupo sa harapan ko. "So what's this all about? You want us to perform sa school fair?"

Tumango si David. "Yes. It's a good opportunity to promote the Drama Club, and at the same time, the more audience, the more fund that will go to different school organizations of our school."

"I see. Okay, we'll perform Romeo and Juliet," sabi ni Lindsay.

"Cliché," sabi naman ni David.

"Eh 'di Florante at Laura. O Noli Me—"

"Wala bang iba?" tanong ni David.

"Hello, we only have a few days before the fair. Do you think we'll have enough time?" asar na tanong ni Lindsay. "Iyon lang ang puwede dahil na-perform na namin iyon before."

"No. Do something else. 'Yung maikling story lang at hindi mahirap kabisaduhin ang script," David said firmly.

"Look here, David," Lindsay said, "kahit na si Vera pa ang lead actress namin, kulang ang mga araw para makapaghanda kaming lahat at—"

"Who says Vera will be your lead actress for this?" tanong ni David.

Kumurap si Lindsay at tumingin sa akin. "And why not Vera?"

"She'll be too busy with the SG."

Tumayo si Lindsay. "No! It's Vera or hindi kami magpe-perform."

Uh-oh. I cleared my throat. "Uh, Lindsay? Kasi ano... mas kailangan kasi ako sa SG. Marami pa naman tayong ibang actresses na puwedeng mag-lead ng play. I mean, magandang opportunity rin ito para sa kanila. Exposures, too, especially since we'll be graduating this school year."

I knew Lindsay wanted to argue, pero she gave me a look na lang na kailangan kong bumawi next time.

"Fine. Since Vera said she'll be busy," asar na sabi niya kay David.

After the meeting with Lindsay, pumunta kami sa office ng Cheering and Pep Team. Unlike Lindsay, hindi pumayag si Gerald—Captain namin.

"We're not performing without Vera," he said firmly and walked-out.

David shot me an evil look. "Why is it they all want you to perform?"

I shrugged.

He sighed. "Fine. Then we'll not ask the Cheering and Pep Team to do it."

"Ha? Pero magandang boost sila for the event," sabi ko. "We need them, David."

"Well, I need you," he snapped, walking away.

Napakurap ako. Okay, so he probably needs me on that day. That's what he was saying, right? Right.

I followed him inside the SG office. Nakabusangot pa rin ang mukha niya.

I smirked. "Alam mo, ikaw, ang sungit mo," sabi ko.

"Pakialam mo ba?"

"Wala naman. Well, I could help you."

"Excuse me?"

I smirked again. "You should enjoy the school fair na lang. I mean, you can leave them up to us and just enjoy the event."

"Why should I?"

"Oh, come on, David. Last year na natin ito sa high school. We ought to enjoy."

"Sinasabi mo lang 'yan dahil gusto mo lang makatakas sa mga trabaho sa araw na 'yun," he said.

"Grabe naman. Sabi ko nga kami na ang bahala eh. Ikaw na nga lang ang mag-enjoy," nakangusong sabi ko.

"I don't believe you."

"Ay? Ouch much, ha," sabi ko kahit... well, he's right, gusto ko lang talagang makatakas sa mga trabaho sa araw na iyon. At kapag busy si David, it would mean magiging busy rin ako. The President and Secretary are always together. Ugh.

"You should be thankful," he suddenly said.

"Ha? For what?"

"Dapat magpasalamat ka na lang dahil marami kang magiging trabaho sa araw na iyon at makakalimutan mong wala kang boyfriend na makaka-date sa school fair," he said.

OMG, sapul. "Ouch much, David," I whined. "You're so mean. Why do you have to rub it pa? Porket lahat kayo may mga jowa—"

"Wala akong girlfriend," he snapped.

I blinked. "Excuse me?"

OMG, did I hear him right? Si David Altamonte, walang girlfriend!? Is he kidding me? I mean... David Altamonte! We're talking about David Altamonte here! One, he's the most popular guy in school. Bukod sa pagiging SG President, he's also the Captain of Basketball Varsity Team, and the one who is running for our batch's Valedictorian. Ang daming nagkakandarapa sa kanya sagad. Halos lahat ng babae—excluding me, of course—ay crush siya.

Siyempre hindi nga ako kasama sa lipunan ng mga nagkakandarapa sa kanya. I mean, kahit ang guwapo at talino niya sagad, he's also masungit sagad. Tapos ang bossy niya pa. At saka palagi kaya kaming magkasama kaya umay na umay na kami sa pagmumukha ng isa't-isa.

"Ikaw? Wala kang girlfriend? Why? Walang pumatol sa'yo? Imposible."

Or maybe it is really posible na walang pumatol dahil sa sobrang kasungitan niya.

"Paanong walang papatol eh wala naman akong nililigawan," he snapped.

"Wala kang nililigawan? OMG, I don't believe you."

"'Di 'wag kang maniwala."

Namilog ang mga mata ko. Lumapit ako sa kanya. "Hindi kaya—"

"Ano?" he asked, moving away from me.

"Hindi kaya bakla ka?"

"Bakla?"

"OMG, sabi ko na eh!" I said triumphantly. I shook my head. "Tsk, tsk. Now I know. Don't worry, David, 'di ko ipagsasabi. Mukhang hindi ka pa ready lumantad eh. Pero my gosh, sayang naman at naging bading ka pa. I mean, you're so—"

I wasn't able to finish what I was saying because he suddenly leaned closer to me and kissed me on the lips.

I blinked.

"Siguro naman malinaw na sa'yo na hindi ako bakla," he muttered, leaving me in shock.

I was stunned. Hindi ko alam kung gaano ako katagal na nanigas sa puwesto ko. Hindi ko alam kung anong sasabihin or even iisipin ko.

All I knew is that I just had my first kiss.
