After sometimes I've finally made up my mind

He is the one and I really want to make him mine;

I'm searching everywhere to find him again

To tell him of love

And apologize 'bout the things I've done

I find him standing in front of the church

The only place in town where I didn't search

He looks so happy with the ring—

But he's crying while he's saying this:

I missed your kisses all the time but

This is twenty five minutes too late

Though travelled so far—

I'm sorry you are

Twenty five minutes too late.

[Xander]

I blinked, realizing, after moments, that I was awake.

How long did I sleep?

Turning to the curtains, I saw no filter of sunshine—hence inferring that it was still dark outside.

But what caught my attention and made me hold my breath was not the fact that my body temperature seemed to have lowered; or the amazing luck that it was still dark outside so that I could continue sleeping—

It was an angel.

My angel.

His head rested on folded arms propped on the edge of the bed; body rising, and falling in a subtle manner. His lashes fanned and brushed the area below his eyes—full and long. Lips small and slightly parted, but looked just as tempting as a strawberry.

I found myself smiling to no one in particular, and an unconscious hand drift towards the soft locks on his head.

Then I noticed the small face towel he clutched in his hand, as if he had fallen asleep halfway while wetting the towel again to cool my forehead.

I glanced at the digital clock by the bedside table.

Half past three in the morning.

I wonder how long he stayed up to do this.

He must have been...really tired.

Sitting up on the bed and holding in the urge to cough, I ran a finger along the side of his face—feeling the soft supple sensation of his skin under my fingertip. "Hey. Wake up."

My angel stirred, parted lips letting slip an adorable sigh that resembled a satisfied kitten.

"Angel, wake up—your back's gonna hurt in the morning."
