"Mum!" I shouted seeing her at the airport and running to hug her.
"Oh gosh, sweetie I have missed you so much. I hope boarding school was worth it"
"It wasn't just any boarding school mum. Hollywood boarding school for the arts. And it was incredible" I excl6 pulling away from the hug and walking to the car. Once we entered I noticed one thing was missing.
"Where's Scott?" I asked.
"He got caught up at work. He's really sorry he wanted to be here." Mum explained.
"Oh, right the whole veterinarian thing"
"Yes, that. He works with Deaton now, a lot" Mum sighed weirdly.
"Mum, why does it sound like you're lying?" I asked.
"I'm not lying" Mum denied.
"Yes you are. You have a tell."
"No I don't" She argued.
"Yes you do, but I'm not going to tell you what it is, I don't want to lose my edge." I said.
"Why don't you talk to Scott when he gets home?"
"Is he with a girl or something? Why are you so uncomfortable?" I asked.
"Good to have you home, Maisy" Mum sighed as we pulled up at the house.
"Ok, whatever. Are you going to help me unpack?" I smiled.
"I'd love too. You can tell me all about boarding school" mum said helping me get my bags out of the car.
