Winter

Winter is coming.
There's a chill in the wind, and my hands and feet are numb.
Goosebumps
on bare skin.
I bring my arms closer to me and leech of your body heat.
Let me touch you.
Let me swallow your ghost kisses.
Ecstatic to my touch
Soft and brittle like homecoming.
Our bodies aligned
Like matchboxes.
I'm running out on sleep and tea
salty and familiar like wasted evenings.
Caffeine is a dangerous thing to live on
'It's bad for you' you say
and I laugh.
I starve for I love you's.
Hungry and immoral like my skin.
Don't worry. We are all doomed anyway.
I count in binary in my head
zero one zero one one.
