UNEXPECTED

Chapter-2

Flashback....

"Rose, we are going to be late" shouted my dad.

First let me introduce myself..
I am rose 18 years old. Recently I got enrolled in one of the top engineering college and yes I am on a scholarship as I am not a 'born with silver spoon' kind of girl. Now that is where I am going to go and guess what I am gonna be late! I am going to be a hosteler & I am scared as hell as I don't know how my roommates will be and I hope i can find a real friend at least there as I really don't have good friends with whom I can share everything. Oops!! Thinking of these things I forget to answer back to my dad!!

"Dad I am coming". I shouted back running out of the room.

" Okay dear,let's go" said my dad hugging me tightly.

I know he is gonna miss me a lot. I lost my mom 5years back, but my dad never let me feel alone. He was always there by my side guiding me in a correct path. There are no secrets which I hide from him. But now, I have to leave him on his own for 4 years!!

I know he is going to miss me,but getting admission in such a big university is a great thing and that is why he is letting me go there.
It's nearly an 18hour travel from my home. So we came here a day before and booked a room near my college and now we are leaving from this room to my college.

After finishing all the formalities they gave me my room keys and said I am going to stay with two more girls. I took those keys and went towards my dad.

"Dad they gave my room keys", I said to my dad. He looked very sad and I know why!

"Okay then my little girl, it's time for me to leave you alone, I am gonna miss you a lot,just call me everyday. I hope these 4 years will pass soon. Take care my dear. Bye." He said hugging me and then kissed on my forehead and left without turning back. I know he is broken and he doesn't want me to see him like this.

"Bye dad" I murmured myself and took my luggage and went in search of my room.

After nearly searching for 15minutes I finally found my room and unlocked it. The room was quite large, but it looked empty with 3 large beds and 3 cupboards with a table and a chair on the corner. It had another room with a sofa and side to it there was another door which was nothing but a bathroom.

It took me an hour to complete my unpacking and arrange them in my place. Finally I finished my work and then took a quick shower. As my roommates still didn't arrive I thought taking a nap will be better and I laid down in my bed trying to sleep....

Suddenly the whole place was shaking vigorously and in an instant I jumped out of my bed and went rolling under it in hope of saving myself. I don't want to die in an earthquake that too on my first day. 

I was under my bed for what felt like forever when someone's laughter brought me back to reality.

I came face to face with a stranger laughing so hard as if her life depended on it. That's when reality hit me so bad, it wasn't an earthquake but someone was trying to wake me up.

"Hey, are you Rose?" Asked the girl controlling her laugh.
She had a fair complexion, round eyes which perfectly fit her round face and a long hair.

"Yeah." I replied scratching my forehead confused and relieved at the same time.

Thank god! That wasn't an earthquake.

"Oh! I am sorry I am Inba and I am your room mate" she said extending her hand.

"You already know my name, but once again I will say it myself. I am Rose" I replied shaking her hand.

Inba suddenly hugged me and said "OMG! I already like you. Your ninja skills are a sight to see.." She giggled
"And I think we are going to be the best buddies" she finished with a friendly smile.

I liked that girl too.
"Hell yes! But you scared the shit out of me. A very friendly way to wake up a stranger huh?" I joked.

She again started laughing and I took my time to analyse her, she was looking like a tough character by the way she was dressed in a dark blue ripped jean and a shirt whose ends were tied into a knot. But at the same time she looked quite friendly.

I have to say she was the exact opposite of me but, opposites attract right? And I'm sure we both are going to be inseparable friends.

I was in my own thoughts when There was a knock on the door and a girl with curly hair and a little tanned skin came in. She looked beautiful in her white top and purple skirt.

"Hi." I and Inba said at the same time.

"Hey I am Ninotha. I am also your roommate and I am in electronics department" said Nino cheerfully.

We quickly went near her took her luggage's and placed it near her bed,before she could react Inba hugged her and spoke.." I am Inba and I am IT department. Its a pleasure to meet you".

"You hug people a lot Inba" I said moving near Nino.

"I am rose and I am electrical department."

They both looked hell shocked and spoke in unison " You took electrical?" And started laughing.

"Why can't I take electrical?" I asked as if I was hurt!
They believed me and replied..

"Uhmm..sorry we didn't mean that, it's just that you look quite opposite and we thought you probably took IT." replied Nino nervously.

IT? Programming was never my thing! but motors and electricity always attracted me. That's the reason I choose this stream.

Looking at their nervousness it was my turn to laugh at them and I started laughing as if there was no tomorrow, and it was then they realised that I was acting and they started throwing pillows at me. I too started doing the same and finally our talk ended with a pillow fight.

It was quite weird that we got along very well at the first day itself. I liked them both a lot. They were open type, they shared everything with me and I too told them about my past. Both of them were from rich families unlike me.

Nino was a very talkative girl. I can give an award for the way Inba turns everything into a joke. I have to agree that my roommates are fun to be around. After chit chatting for nearly we don't know how many hours we all slept having a little worry that from tomorrow morning we have to split as our departments are different. I just hope tomorrow will not be a bad day!!
