Chapter-17

"You girls can sleep in your room's. We have checked all room's and it's safe." Said Gaurav.

"But what about you guys?" Inba spoke.

We all were tired and that death has shaken us all to an extreme level. They kept on saying that there is no one here but what if the murderer was one of us?

"We will be sleeping here and keep a watch. You all can go." Spoke Ajish.

"Fine." Said Rihana as she stood up and dragged Suhana and Jessi with her.

Then We all went to our room. No one spoke anything. The moment we entered in they took there usual places and laid on there bed. But still I wonder will they be able to sleep peacefully?

Suddenly I felt thirsty. I searched for a bottle of water but it was empty. All of them were in deep sleep. So, I slowly stood and made my way towards the kitchen. It was still raining but not heavily. I poured a glass of water and started drinking when I heard some voices. As I went towards the place from where the voices were coming I saw Allwyn and Ajish arguing.

"You think that I killed her?"

"I didn't mean that Allwyn. We both know about your past."

"How the hell is this related to my past?"

My heart was beating faster. I knew that now I was going to discover something too bad. But can my heart handle that?

"OK. Just leave that. But tell me you didn't do anything right? Out of your temper?" Ajish spoke.

"Oh yes. I did it. I...did.. it..myself."

Those words were enough for me. How could he? Was he that cruel?
All those murder's in our campus were done by Allwyn! Each of it! Because it's the same way Nancy was murdered! Brutally! I was deep in my thought's that I didn't realize that I dropped the glass and now both of them were looking at me!
Oh my God! I think I am dead now!

"Rose. It's not what you think." Allwyn said with a smirk as they slowly approached me.

I got so afraid that without thinking I ran out through the backdoor. I ran and ran because my life was in it. It was still raining and i was completely wet. Once I felt that I was safe I saw a wooden house before me. I think it's the place I can hide, I thought and made my way towards the house.
Suddenly everything went blank and before I could fall on the ground I felt a strong arm surround me. It was so better this way. I felt safe but I knew that it was rather the other way.

When I woke up I was laying on the floor. But what's this place? Where am I? Then it hit me. The bitter truth. I was knocked down by my love and now I am gonna die.

The door opened slowly as Allwyn came in followed by Ajish.

"No! Please don't kill me." I begged.

"Rose. It's not what it look's like." Said Allwyn coming closer to me.

"Finally you are awake after 10minutes." Ajish said with a laugh.
Does he find this funny?

"Rose. Just let him explain." He said and then went out.

I thought for a while. Maybe I am mistaken! So I let him speak. He came and sat beside me as he spoke.

"I know by the way I brought you here this will be hard for you to believe but you have to trust me I have nothing to do with those murders."

"That doesn't explain what you said before."

"I know. It's related to my past. But before that remember I will always love you Rose even though you will not be with me after I tell you the truth." He said with a sad smile. I remained silent waiting for him to proceed further.

"My childhood was not the happiest one. My dad used to beat my mom without any reason. He used to say he enjoyed it. In childhood I was so scared of my dad that he would beat me which he never did. I always used to spend most of my time with my mom. She was the one who used to bring me here. Though I had her she also employed Nancy as a Nany for me. I still don't understand why. As days passed my dad became more abusive towards her. I was 10 years old when I asked my mom for the first time that why doesn't she leave him? She said, she can't leave me alone here and once separated, my dad will do anything to have me. That made me feel that I was the reason behind everything. I could not do anything. I was helpless. But one day my dad was ready to kill my mother. That's when I felt that everything has to stop and the only solution was to kill my dad and I did that. I killed him rose! I killed him! I killed him with my own hands. Everything became normal. Ajish's dad covered up for that murder. Now my mom is looking after the business which will be hand overed to me soon. She never blamed me for what I did. She still keeps on saying that what I did was for everyone's good. After his death my mom became busy handling the business and I started spending more time with Nancy. She is like a mother to me Rose. I will never kill her." He said. I felt the pain which he had gone through.

"Ajish and his parents were very supportive towards our family and they still are. It's only Nancy, he and his parents who know the truth. Now you know it too."

"I know you think me as a murderer. You are free to go Rose. I will not force you.."

Before he could finish his sentence I pulled him towards me and started kissing him. At first he looked shocked but then he too started kissing me back. After that we pulled apart and I said,

"First thing I don't sympathise you. If you think so. Second, trust me I know you had a hard time and what you did was correct. Even I would have done the same thing. Now you are happy and your mom is happy and that's all what matter's. If you think that for this silly reason I am gonna leave you then you are the dumbest person I have ever met." I said rolling my eyes.
He looked amused. He was about to speak when I interrupted.

"Why did you get transferred?"

"Oh that. I fell in love. You know I had hard time's and at that time she felt right. She always made me happy. She always made me forget my sorrows. But 2 year's back she simply left me saying she got a better person than me. I slowly began loosing my mind. I was totally depressed when my mom said it would be good if I left that place. So, I got transferred here where I can be with my friend's." He said.

"Friend's?" I asked.

"Yeah. Ajish was studying here and also Gaurav and you know I am really happy that I came here. If not I would have never met a girl like you." He said kissing me when Ajish came in.

"Guys! If your romance is over. We have something serious to deal with."
That's when I realised we were still in danger.

"What do you guys think? Because I feel that the murderer is some one who is with us." I said.

They both thought for a moment when Ajish replied.

"That's what we were trying to discuss when you interrupted."

"OK. Fine. We can be sure that we three of them didn't do it." Said Allwyn.

"Also Gaurav, Diana, Sam and Jake. We have known them for a long time." Added Ajish.

"So now you guys are doubting my friend's?" I questioned him.

"Rose. You have to agree." Said Ajish.

"Fine. But make sure to keep eyes on everyone including your friend's." I said folding my hands.

"Sure Rose." Said Allwyn.

"We have to let them know. I will tell my friend's and I will also make sure that they don't know that we are watching them also." Said Ajish.

Allwyn took out his phone but still it didn't have any signal. The rain also didn't stop. I think we were stuck here. So, We agreed to what he said and then started walking towards the house. It was drizzling now. I quickly went in and changed my dress and fell asleep. I just Hope everything goes well...
