Paisley never believed in fairytales; maybe she did once, but that was a long time ago.

Fairytales were always full of magical creatures, love, and hopemost of all hope. They portrayed falling in love and happily ever after, but reality wasn't like that; reality wasn't as picture perfect as it was in the books.

The reality wasn't perfect parents having no choice but to abandon you, it wasn't someone immediately falling for you; it was imperfect parents leaving you for no reason, it was knowing you're too broken to even be loved.

  Love is pathetic.

As Paisley comes home from school she is greeted by the sight of her old father sleeping on the couch again. This was the reason why her mom barely even came home anymore.

  Same old, same old.

She thought she would get used to it, but she only grew tired of it; tired of this kind of life.

She wonders if her father even cares for her.

Maybe she was being selfish, but there was just too much one can handle.

But for now, she would just have to hang on until everything would be okay. If everything will be okay.
