・゚: *・゚:* *:・゚*:・゚ "AH-AH, NO FLYING THIS TIME," Sokka waves us away from Appa. I furrow my brows into a pout but continue to pet the bison.

"What? Why wouldn't we fly?" Aang leaps over my head to meet Sokka on the ground where he's studying a map.

"Think about it. Somehow Prince Zuko and the Fire Nation keep finding us. It's because they spot Appa— he's just too noticeable." Sokka explains.

"Appa is not too noticeable." Katara disagrees.

"He's a giant fluffy monster with an arrow on his head! It's kinda hard to miss him!" He bickers back at Katara.

"Sokka's just jealous cause he doesn't have an arrow." Aang gently pets Appa after he grunts at Sokka.

Sokka continues to convince the group that walking is the safest way out of the forest. In all honesty, I tap out of the conversation and float around in my thoughts.

A few hours pass of walking and complaining.

"Walking stinks! How do people get anywhere without a flying bison?" Aang pouts. Katara shrugs with a sarcastic smile, "I don't know Aang. Why don't we ask Sokka's instincts? They seem to know everything."

"Haha very funny." Sokka reply's dryly. Aang continues complaining, "I'm tired of carrying this pack."

"You know who you should ask to carry it for a while? Sokka's instincts!" Katara, yet again jokes. Aang giggles before following along, "that's a great idea! Hey Sokka instincts, would you mine carrying-"

"Okay okay- I get it. Look, guys, I'm tired too. But the most important thing is that-" Sokka stops taking after he pulls back a bush. I didn't comprehend why everyone came to a sudden stop intel I looked up.

"Fire nation..." Sokka breathes. Some soldiers sit around a fire on logs. Some have bowls of soup in their hands. But, all of them are looking at us.

"RUN!" Sokka shouts. Before we could get a head start, the soldiers pull out swords while others resume bending stances. One of the men launches a fist full of fire at us. I pull Aang and me out of the way, while Katara and Sokka jump to another direction.

"We're cut off!" I point out.

"Sokka your shirt!" Aang warns. Sokka's sleeve is caught on fire which he frantically puts out. We're all cornered, nowhere to go.

"If you let us pass... we promise not to hurt you," Sokka growls. Quietly I whisper, "what are you doing!?"

"Bluffing?" He shrugs.

Suddenly one of the guards falls to the ground, leaving everyone surprised and confused.

"Nice work Sokka! How'd you do that?" Aang questions.
