Friday (a week since the fight)

I drove to Kevin and Maisie's house to set up for Elena's bridal shower/ bachelorette party. We decided to have a small elegant dinner with the bridesmaids and moms.

As I focused on the road while sneaking glances at the little ones in the back, my mind went to Josh and I's fight at the beginning of this week. I don't plan on talking to him anytime soon, and I still haven't told anyone about it.

I pulled into the driveway to see Joanne and my mom's cars already here. I got each of the girls unbuckled, and they held onto my hands as we made our way to the front door.

"Hi Sabrina," Maisie greeted at the door. "How are my favorite princesses?"

The girls giggled as she smothered them in kisses. My mom came from the kitchen to give me a hug, and then we made our way out onto the back patio. There was a long white table set up with matching chairs surrounding it. On the wall was small balloons that spelled out "bride to be" while under it was a table where all the presents would go.

"The food is all in the kitchen so everyone will go inside to grab their food, and then sit out here," Maisie explained. "I just need help setting up the table decorations."

We got to work as the girls sat in the living room watching TV. There were white plates at every chair along with a napkin and silverware. In the middle was a simple touch of greenery to add some color.

"What did the guys plan for the bachelor party?" I asked.

"Well since it's Tyler, they took him to a trampoline park," Joanne rolled her eyes at her 22 year old child.

"The old men weren't too happy about it, until they found out their was an open bar," Maisie laughed referring to their husbands.

Soon enough the guest began to arrive and took their seats at the table after handing me their presents. Everyone mingled and said their hellos before we all headed into the kitchen for food. They had finger sandwiches with fruits, vegetables, pasta salad, and chips.

"The second and last game, before we get to the presents, is called Guess Who," I stated passing out the papers

"The second and last game, before we get to the presents, is called Guess Who," I stated passing out the papers. "You'll check the box of who you think did/ does it: the bride or groom."

Everyone began filling out their papers. When they were done, I went over the answers.

"The first question, who made the first move? If you put groom then you're correct."

"He was constantly flirting," Elena said.

"Next, who said 'I love you' first? If you put groom again then you are correct. Who is the best dancer? The correct answer is the bride. Who is more romantic? The answer would be the groom," I went on with a few more questions before reaching the bottom of the paper. "Did anyone get all of the ten correct?"

Haley, Elena's little sister, was the only one to raise her hand. I handed her the last gift bag which held candy along with nail polish, face masks, and lotion.

"Presents!" Keegan exclaimed running up to me while Bryn jumped from Jordyn's lap and followed behind.

"Yes," I laughed. "It's time for Aunt El to open her presents."

"Do you girls want to help me?" Elena asked making them nod their heads eagerly.

After the girls finished ripping through wrapping paper, and we cleaned up, I decided to head home. Grabbing both of the sleepy girls, I carried them to the car, which was a difficult task, and pulled out of the driveway.
