Arkyn spent the weekend with Xavier and Lex. He'd rented some rooms at a nearby hotel, helping Xavier get things in his room. He made his way back with Alexis on Monday, deciding they could take the day off school. He hadn't heard from Bonnie all weekend, and was a little worried. When he finally got to Mystic Falls, he stopped by her house, Alexis still in the car. He knocked on her door.
"Hey."
"Arkyn." She said in surprise. "What are you doing here?"
"I just wanted to see you. Uh we just got back, you know."
"Oh."
"Is everything okay?"
"We need to talk." She said.
"What's going on?" He asked.
"Just.." she stepped out and walked over to Alexis. "Hey."
"Hey Bonnie. How are you?"
"I'm fine." Bonnie looked uncertain.
"What is it?" Alexis asked.
"Jeremy's leaving town."
"What? When?"
"He's leaving tomorrow." Alexis nodded, and looked at her hands. She suddenly got out of the car.
"Lex..."
"I have to say goodbye, Ark." She said. Arkyn nodded reluctantly as she walked away. Bonnie then led him inside her house.
"You're scaring me." He confessed, chuckling a little standing in her living room.
"It's about your family."
"What is it?"
"Um, Elena daggered Rebekah." She started.
"What? Why?"
"She didn't want Rebekah to ruin the plan to kill Klaus. Like Elijah. She figured if Rebekah was daggered there'd be less chance of Rebekah changing sides last minute."
"So she daggered Rebekah?"
"It gets worse." Bonnie continued. "Klaus isn't dead. But Mikael is."
"To be clear, the plan was to kill Klaus not Mikael?"
"Yeah. Stefan saved Klaus at the last minute, and Klaus granted him his freedom. No more compulsion."
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"It's your last weekend with Xavier and Alexis, you know? I didn't want to ruin it. And, I was kind of scared."
"Scared?"
"Not of you." She rushed to assure him. "Not you. I just knew this would hurt you, and I didn't know until after you left. You were searching for Rebekah, and I just didn't want to tell you that Elena daggered her."
"You know I wanna undagger her right?"
"That's a little harder to do. So after Mikael died, Stefan stole the bodies of your brothers from Klaus. Klaus was looking for Stefan, so he almost killed Jeremy in an effort to get Elena to help him find Stefan. Then Elena bargained Rebekah. Klaus gets your sister, he leaves her brother alone."
"That's why Jeremy's going away?"
"She had Damon compel him."
"So Stefan Salvatore has Kol?"
"And Elijah and the other one."
"Finn."
"Yeah. And there's a fourth coffin that's spelled shut."
"A fourth coffin?"
"He thinks it's a weapon to kill Klaus."
"Where are the coffins?"
"I can't tell you that."
"Why not?"
"Because you're gonna undagger Kol and Finn."
"It's not like Klaus cares about them. Elijah's the only one he cares about."
"I can't. Not until we can open the fourth coffin."
"Bonnie-"
"I know how much Kol means to you. But if Klaus thinks we're gonna just undagger them all, he's going to kill more people."
"I want Kol back. And Finn's been in that stupid box for nine hundred years. He deserves to be free. You can keep Elijah and the other one."
"I'm sorry, Ark." She said.
"Then you clearly don't know what Kol means to me."
"You said it yourself. He's a psychopath."
"He's still my brother. The only one who has ever looked out for me."
"As soon as we unlock the mystery coffin, I'll give you back Kol, Finn and Elijah. I'll help you get back Rebekah too." She stepped towards him. "Ark-"
"You have so much reason to hate him, to want him dead, but you are not the first to try to kill him and you won't be the last. People will come after him, time and again. And he will remain victorious, because he's Klaus Mikaelson. He always wins. The more you go after him, the more danger you're putting yourself in."
"Aren't you at least curious as to what's in the box?"
"I'm honestly not. I just want to spend time with my girl, get Kol back and forget all about Klaus."
"Look, the witch ancestors led me to the coffins. They want me involved."
"And if you don't kill Klaus? What then? I don't know how much longer I can keep him from killing you, Bonnie."
"I can protect myself."
"He's a thousand years old with that much experience with witches. You are strong, of that there is no doubt, but he's an original and a hybrid. He's literally the most powerful man in the world."
"I'm not budging on this."
"You're stubborn."
"Give me some time. Let me get that stupid coffin open. Okay? Just a little time?" She grabbed his arms. "Please?"
"I don't want to lose you."
"You won't." He looked at her, and sighed.
"I love you."
"I know. And I love you." He pulled her closer and gave her a hug.
"Not too long? I want Kol back."
"I will find a way to undo this spell as quickly as possible." She vowed.
