Now the Fourth of July, Marie spent time with her sister and parents. As she spent time with them, her phone chimed.

Marie walked upstairs to her side of the room, and sat on her bed. As she sat there, she put her phone to her ear, as Cameron had just called.

"Hang on," he said.

Moments later, a different ringing sound emitted from her phone, alerting her that Cameron was FaceTiming her.

Upon answering, Marie spoke. "Hi, Cam. Happy Fourth."

"Hi, M. Happy Fourth to you, too." He responded. "I actually wanted to make this call somewhat short. That's odd of me, I know."

Marie waited patiently as Cameron continued. "I love you, sweetheart. Even though you know it already, I want you to remember and never forget it."

Once he finished, Marie spoke up. "I love you, too, Cam. I won't forget it, I promise."

A while later, Cameron hung up. As soon as he did, Marie was left wondering why he had asked her not to forget that he loved her. Her curiosity burned within herself but she didn't question him.
