Scar's POV:

We've been here for a week. Liam left on Sunday night because he had to be at school on Monday. Damon and Jaxon stayed with me though. We've gone to the center every day, checking up on Emma and continuing to go through the paperwork in order to get her back. Can I adopt my own kid?

"Oh my god, this place is so small," Jaxon complained as we were in the hotel room, and he tripped over Damon, who was laying on the floor.

"We won't be here much longer chill," I mumbled. This hotel room was smelling like shit because of the two pigs that I'm being forced to room with.

Since I am Emma's biological mother, they could speed up the adoption, by a lot. Instead of spending like 90 days filling out all the paperwork, I can take her today.

"She's so adorable," Damon said randomly.

"Hm." I smiled, I loved the way he talked and played with Emma.

"The way she tried to jump on our shoulders and dig her little feet into our eyes. Ah, so adorable." Jaxon said, mildly sarcastic and swoony.

"Stop making fun of my baby." I said, laughing.

~

"Ok, she's all ready to go, do you guys have a car seat for her?" The secretary said as she looked at us.

I nodded. "We bought it at some baby store near here."

"Well alright then. She's potty trained so you don't need to worry about that. Well, you're all ready to go."

I smiled, and squeezed Jaxon's hand. Finally.

They brought Emma out and she immediately ran to me and grabbed hold of my leg.

"Where we goin mama?" She asked, her big grey eyes looking up at me.

"Home." I said as I picked her up.

~

"Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are w-"

"We're almost there Emma chill out girl." Damon said as he rubbed his temple.

I laughed at him. For hours now Emma's been screaming and laughing and enjoying the view of the trees as they whizzed by on the side of the interstate.

Finally, we pulled into the driveway of Jaxons house. As I walked out of the car, I stared at the little house and snorted. Jaxon looked over from where he was getting out of his car.

"What's so funny?"

"We need a new house."
