"Again" said Ben as Thomas stood back up after falling on the floor. Rey watched impatiently from a couple meters away. Thomas and Ben had been practising lightsaber combat skills for an hour and a half and she could see the exhaustion build up in Thomas's eyes.

"Ben, please...." she whispered to his mind. He looked up at her and he realised what she meant. Thomas was looking down at his hands as they rubbed the dirt off of his shorts. He nodded to her but turned back to Thomas.

Thomas held his saber close to his face in a stance that could only act as a defence. He swung his saber around so it came into contact with Ben's own saber and the familiar buzz filled their ears. Ben did very little to fight Thomas off but he had to admit that Thomas was improving by a lot. The sheer force that the six year old used in his strike was extraordinary.

Thomas fought with all he had. His little arms swinging the saber around to weaker spots in Ben's stance and Thomas's face screwed up in concentration as he quickly thought about what to do next. His arms gave out and Ben deactivated his saber to catch the little boy as he fell due to exhaustion. Rey stood up fast and glared at Ben as he held Thomas.

"Are you OK?" Ben asked Thomas urgently. Thomas nodded his head and stood back up carefully.

"alright, now I want you to go over there and meditate for me, it will help you" Ben pointed towards the trees that skirted the edge of the forest that surrounded them. He gave a small nod and stalked off towards the trees.

Rey stopped in front of Ben and crossed her arms over her chest.

"I told you to stop" she said with a stern voice. Ben softly looked down at her.

"I know I'm sorry, I thought he had enough in him to try it once more" Ben hooked his saber back on his belt.

"Ben... He's six!" she hissed at him.
"How could he possibly beat a grown man" she shifted her weight onto her other leg and tapped her foot impatiently. Ben met her eyes again.

"he has to learn somehow" he said in a mocking tone. She looked at him with a disbelieving face.

"Ben, I'm going to say this one more time. He is only six" she turned around and walked over to thomas.

The walk home was awkwardly silent. Rey carried Thomas, and Ben walked silently behind them. She refused to talk to him after what he had done, she could feel Thomas's exhaustion radiate around her.

She gently stroked his back as Ben opened the door for them. Placing him down on his bed, Rey sat near his head and watched his small face. She stroked his hair until she decided to go out and face him.

She walked out and saw him standing against the kitchen bench. She gently closed the door behind her and stopped when she got to the couch.

"Rey, I'm sorry about today" she looked up into his eyes and she could tell that he was being sincere. She suddenly felt guilty. She walked over to him and placed her head against his chest. She wrapped her arms around his waist as he stroke her back.

"it's alright, you just want to protect him" she whispered into his chest. She felt his lips press against the top of her head and she lay there listening to his heart beat. If she could freeze time, she would.

He gave a small laugh.
"you need to go to bed" he said into her ear. She looked up at him and noticed that he was staring at her stomach. Of course.

She stood up straight and walked up the stairs with Ben following closely behind her.

When morning arrived, Rey awoke earlier to get Thomas up and ready for school. It took the six year old ages to get dressed. After pulling down his shirt and brushing his teeth after breakfast, Rey and Ben both walked him down to school.

Thomas walked slower than usual which must be from the training they did on the weekend, Rey kept up with him even though Ben was oblivious to why he was walking slower. After greeting Jake and Alice at the school gates both Rey and Ben headed home for the rest of the day.

Only Ben went to collect Thomas at the end of the day. Rey sat alone at the table with her deactivated saber in her hands. She wanted to train full out, but she knew she couldn't. She decided to activate it and give the saber a couple of swings. Carefully she maneuvered the saber around the room letting the hiss of the light pass her ears. Only when she sat down again did Thomas and Ben arrive back home.

"How was your day?" she asked the little boy as he ran up to her.

"It was good, Jake thinks it's so cool that I'm gonna be a Jedi because he didn't think they were real, but know he knows that my parents are a jedi, he is so excited" Thomas rambled on but a dreadful feeling washed over Rey. She looked up at Ben and the same look was shown in his eyes.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the planet, Alice was holding a walkie talkie and trying desperately to get a hold of someone. Suddenly a voice filled the air.

"Who is this" boomed a husky voice.

"My name is Alice, I live on Edroth and I know where the 2 last remaining Jedi's are" she said back into the walkie talkie.

"I'm listening" said Poe on the other side of the walkie talkie.
