"Kuya, akin na lang 'to," I heard Atticus, my sixteen year old brother, before I saw him.

"What's that?"

"The new G-shock. Dad bought it. He said it's yours, but I really want it. Pwede sa akin na lang?"

"Hindi ka ba binili?" nakasimangot kong tanong.

"He did," he sheepishly answered.

"Oh, so you want to swap?"

This isn't new. I can't count the things that I gave to him just because he wants it. Hindi ko naman matanggihan. He's the youngest, kaya lahat ng luho sinusunod.

"Fine," I said in a heavy sigh.

"Yes!" he exclaimed in victory before scurrying out of my room.

I checked my watch.

Basketball games became a weekly routine in my summer nights. They also bring new faces to keep the game challenging.

I just play for fun because to be honest, my skills became rusty because I don't train anymore. I didn't join the basketball team of the Civil Engineering dahil priority ko ang academics. I have big plans after I get my degree and take my masteral, kaya kailangan consistent ang grades.

Everyone was already there when I reached the court. It's a basketball court in Trent's village. Trent is one of my closest friends. He was part of the varsity, too, when we were in high school. The game commenced after ten minutes.

"Ang bagal naman, Santiesteban," angal ni Xavi. Tumingala ako at nakita siyang nakapamewang sa gilid ng free throw line.

I smirked and brought my eyes back to my rubber shoes.

This guy is basically my junior; the same age as my younger brother, Atlas, and yet he thinks we're at the same level. How arrogant.

He wasn't always hostile to me when we were in high school. He was actually nice and decent. He even asked me for a few favors involving his little sister, Hyon Alexandria Serrano.

I was in fourth year when I met her. She was a cute eleven year old kid who had a crush on me. Hindi naman 'yon mahirap malaman. She was obvious about it and it was immensely adorable. He didn't have to ask me. Hyon is such a sweet and charming kid, I'd give anything she wants and spoil her in a heartbeat.
