ALMOST NONE OF THE CAST MEMBER'S REAL AGES WERE ANYWHERE CLOSE TO THEIR CHARACTER'S AGES.
Almost none of the actor's ages were close to their character's ages, and it was quite an interesting comparison. As crazy as it sounds, the oldest cast members (by their real ages) were Patrick Swayze (Darrel Curtis), Leif Garrett (Bob Sheldon) and Ralph Macchio (Johnny Cade).
