Chapter 28:"Red Omen"

dark...

it's so dark...

'dark...cold...i can not see anything' Seiichi though standing in the middle of dark abyss that like drowning him in cold sea water until an explosion sound got heard jolting him make him frozen stiffen saw a familliar scenery, a cliff with a familliar car in burn, he will never forgot these memory and it always hunting him until he died, it was Akai-san died time.

Seiichi jolted awake with panthing with cold sweat and tear that flowing freely from his eye, he clenching his blanket until his knuckle turn white, he sit in his bed rubbing his face trying to calm his heartbeat with snuggle to Ruth fur to calm his pulse down

"I'm fine...thank you Ruth" Seiichi say in hoarse like it's the first time he talk

"If you say so.." Ruth back to darkness again

Sometime, Seiichi gratefull for Ruth as he was the Church Grim and he really love darkness rarely going outside if not necessary.He look at his bedside looking at clock

'01.00 in morning,huh... such a long night' Seiichi though going out from the bedroom

He go to kitchen after go to bathroom to wash his face, he make some warm tea and go to library hoping he can distract himself with book, He noticed the light was open make him open the door showing Subaru who look at him in surprised

"Subaru-san?" Seiichi ask blinking closing the door enter the room with Tea,"Why you still up?"

"That is my line...it still 1 in morning... i already got used to all night stay up as college student" Subaru respond looking at Seiichi who put the cup into one of the table and pick some book hummed in silence,"Did you have restless night?" he ask noticed stiffen form of Seiichi who already pick the book and only stand frozen,"if you don't mind i'm willingly to listen..."

Seiichi slumped slightly go sit on sofa leaned back,"just some nightmare..."

"Oh?" Subaru look at Seiichi,"Nightmare who make you can't sleep numerous day?" he ask in deadpan

Seiichi chuckle bitterly closed his eye like he already tired,"it's just a past memory that i wishing to destroy... it just a memory of past..." he closed his eye and cover his body with blanket,"i remember one of my precious person died in front of me...." he sigh slumped back into the seat covering his eye with his hand,"i wish that i can prevent that but it was impossible..."

"Oh...i'm sorry" Subaru say look away from Seiichi

Seiichi drink the tea and try to calm down look at Subaru he take a deep breath chuckle,"but it's already in past... nothing more and nothing less..." he begin to  open the book glance at Subaru who look at him,"but sometime you have the same aura as him..."

"Oh?" Subaru ask in amused,"precious person... is it, did you love him?" he ask

Seiichi hummed read the book,"indeed... i loved him and foolish enough to realized when he gone"

Subaru faltered slightly and for the next hours, the library only filled with silence, pen scretching, paper flipping page and nothing else until it got break by Subaru

"Tomorrow... do you want to tag along with to Beika bank then to the Beika Department..." Subaru say 

Seiichi look up blink,"Eh? is that okay?"

"it's okay... take it as scene changhing" Subaru smile make Seiichi smile back

how many days since there no drastic move from Black Organization, only the disguised Akai from Black Organization that make him feel anger to the Black Organization, he rarely got dreamed about Carthapillus and he got break thanks to his job slaying 50 Demon in less than 1 week, such an impressive feat.
