Karn POV
"Karn!" I heard Ananya call. I look up to see Ananya rushing in to the room.
She was with Dushala, right? Is everything ok? What has her like this?
Even Dushala looked dazed, I hope all of them doing good back in Hastinapur. Oh! How I miss all of them.
"Kya Hua, Anu? Dushala theek hai?" (What happened, Anu? Is Dushala fine?) I ask concerned about my only sister.
"Haan. Theek hi hai." (Yeah. She is fine only.) She says slowly.
"Kuch toh bat hai, Anu. Kya hai?" (Something is there, Anu. What is it?) I question again.
She sighs, "Uski shaadi .... Yeh log uski shaadi karwa rahein Hain." (These people .... Are getting her married.)
"Toh Kya dikat hai, Ananya? Yeh toh bahut hi Khushi ki bat hai, na?" (So, what is the problem, Ananya? This is a great news, right?) I ask muddled as to why both my sister and wife were so shaken of that fact.
"Shaadi Sindhu Raj se hai." (Wedding is with Sindhu Raj.) She mumbles.
"Huh?" I couldn't hear her completely. It was as all muffled and forced.
"Shaadi Sindhu Raj, Jayadarth se Ho rahi hai." (Wedding is with the king of Sindh, Jayadarth.) She says louder than before. She practically spits his name.
"Kya!" (What?) I nearly shout. Ananya hums in reply.
"Ab mere pas ek yojna hai." (I have a plan.) Ananya begins. "Dhyan se suniye." (listen to me carefully.)
"Bolo. Bolo." (Say. Say.) I motion her to continue further, I am too anxious to wait for it. Plus, my brain isn't working right now.
"Aap Kuru Parivar ke Jyeshta Putra Hain. Toh aapki bat ki manyata zyada hogi. Aur humare saath Pandeva aur Duryodhana Hain." (You are the eldest son of the Kuru family. So, people are going to weigh your words more. And we have Pandeva's plus Duryodhana on our side?) She starts to list things.
