After a hearty dinner on the beach, they'd cuddled some more before the temperature got too cold to stay outside. They got some warm sweaters from their room, hands wandering but never fully straying away from touching distance.
Jungkook pressed kisses on Tae's lips every time their eyes met, or even simply when they walked beside each other.
They were both glowing.
They almost went at it again in the warmth of the bedroom but Jungkook's phone rang. Jimin had called to remind them that they had to be there to celebrate Jin's birthday.
So after being cockblocked a second time by Jimin, they were now on their way.
Taehyung didn't want to let go of Jungkook anytime soon so he clung to him, as they made their way to the part of the beach where Jin's birthday decor was.
"I like it when you're touchy like this," Jungkook smiled. Tae lightly pressed his bicep in response, head resting on his shoulder as they leisurely walked.
"You make me feel safe," he said softly, making Jungkook's heart do all sorts of gymnastics.
They still had a few minutes before it was midnight. The whole setup was cute. Blue, white and purple balloons were in a giant wreath, in between which a pretty blue cake stood. It was small enough for the ten of them to finish it and was decorated with edible pearls and starfish shaped chocolates.
Tall lanterns created a pathway to the table and fairy lights were wrapped around the palm trees. Jimin and Kiara had confetti poppers ready.
"Ah good, everyone's here now! Just in time!" Jisoo gushed, spotting Taehyung and Jungkook, who waved.
"We didn't get Jin Hyung any gifts though!" Tae said softly, frowning.
"It's alright, we'll give him something when we get back to Seoul," Jungkook assured him, pecking his cheek.
Soon enough, they heard Jin tiredly asking Namjoon where the hell he was taking him. Seemed like all the walking around in the markets and museums had exhausted him.
"Surprise!" Kiara and Jimin yelled, as they popped the confetti, scaring Jin greatly.
"Happy Birthday Jinnie!" Hoseok and Yoongi said loudly.
"Omo, whatt!" he gasped, stepping back into Namjoon's embrace. The tall blonde chuckled at his easily-startled husband.
"Happy Birthday, Jinnie baby," he said in his deep voice, caressing his hair softly and kissing him.
Seokjin laughed and hugged his husband, hiding his face in his neck.
"Thank you Joonie," he whispered, tiptoeing to kiss him back.
Then he turned around to the others, smiling brightly, though he had shimmery eyes. They began to sing happy birthday as Hobi handed him the ribbon wrapped knife and ushered him to the cake.
Yoongi was recording everything again, a calm smile on his face.
Bright clapped with Taehyung as Jin cut the cake and fed it to Namjoon first, then Jungkook and then according to whoever was within reach.
Everyone hugged him in a giant group hug, making Jin more emotional than he already was. He lost his balance and they all fell forward into the sand, crushing Jin completely.
