It's sign-up day at Wyndon stadium. The next world league is at hand. Our black haired protagonist walks out of the plane with a sad smile. Last time Ash Ketchum was here, he was catching his Galar team. Now he's gonna use that team, along with his other pokemon, to show the world he'll become the best. Like no one ever was
Ash walks to the stadium, with a Pikachu on his shoulder. Unlike the rest of Ash's team, this one isn't fully evolved. That doesn't mean it can't win. This Pikachu is the strongest pokemon in his arsenal, and his starter.
Our auburn eyed boy walks to nurse joy and signs "Can I sign up for the tournament?" Sadly for him, Joy doesn't understand. Ash notices this and throws out a pokeball. A green haired pokemon comes out. She has an angelic dress covering her legs, and a mega stone earring. This is Ash's translator, or better none to most, a Gardevoir

This Gardevoir puts Ashs words in the nurses mind. He could do it himself, but he prefers using his pokemon. "My master wishes to sign up for the Tournament '' The joy got the message with a small yelp, then grew skeptical. " How is your master supposed to battle when he can't command you?" " You will see when we battle. May we sign up?" " I guess so. Put your pokedex on this."
Ash puts his pokemon on this. Joy takes a peak and gives a small yelp.This boy has that many pokemon!? "Y-you are all sign-n u-p-p." The joy stammered. "Thank you" The embrace pokemon thought.
Ash quickly returned his pokemon and walked towards the phone machine. He makes his call, and an old, but amazing, Professor answers it. "Ah! Ash my boy! All signed up?" "Yes professor. The joy was very surprised I would with my condition, and even more surprised by the number of Pokémon I have captured" "That was expected. I can't wait to see you battle! Tomorrow the matchups will be announced! I will be cheering you on!" The boy nods, then hangs up. He knew his friend was close, and this friend knew it too.
Ash out of the stadium, and onto the bridge. He stopped for a moment. " Hello my friend. Last time I saw you, you were pathetic. Now, you are a true rival." A voice says. Ash turns around, and sees his best friend, Paul.

"Hello. I am glad you are here Paul" " I am glad to see you as well my friend. You think the trainers will be as pathetic as that brat Gary Oak?" "I hope not. I would like actual competition" "I agree my friend. Care for a battle?" "Not right now Paul. I need to find a place to stay." " I can help. There's a place about a jog away from the stadium. It's called Budews Inn(I know it's not by wyndon stadium but i don't care) "Thank you my friend. I'll head over there now. I'll see you tomorrow at the match ups right?" "Yes. I can't wait to see how pathetic these trainers are." "Neither can I Paul. Neither can I."
Timeskip to ash checking in budew Inn
Ash just checked in. A loud commotion is heard outside, so Ash sprints toward it. Pikachu has his cheeks sparking, ready for combat.
Outside a battle is happening. On one side of the street is an orange haired girl and her Golduck. On the other, there's a tall man with slit for eyes with a Golem

"Pikachu, we should study their tactics. Something tells me these two are good." Pikachu gives a nod, and watches.

The boy yells " Golem use rollout!" "Golduck Hydro pump!" The golem rolls right through the water and into the duck. Golduck gets sent flying back, but gets back up quickly. "Rain dance!" The sky, which was once sunny, starts raining on the battlefield.
"No rain will stop me Misty! You ought to know that by now!" " It's not supposed to stop you. Liquidation!" "Golem Protect!" Golduck moves twice the speed it once did, and hits Golem right after it gets the protect up. "Clever use of swift swim misty. " "Thanks Brock! Now it's time to wrap this up! Golduck use Nasty Plot, then Hydro Pump." Golem wait" The duck gets off the evil plot, then fires off a huge jet of water Right before it hits "Golem dig" Golem disappears then reappears with a thunder punch.
Golduck gets uppercutted. It lands on the ground with a thud. "Golem finish the Job! Heavy Slam!" The rock slams onto the water duck, and rolls back. When the dust clears, the duck is on its last legs. "You can do it Golduck!" The one known as Misty yells " Use Surf!" Surf connects with the rock, and it should be a one hit ko. But the monster is alive, holding onto a thread. Both pokemon are at their limit. "Golduck finish it! Liquidation!" "Golem wait" Just like last time Golem waits. But this time it's a different outcome for everyone. "Golem explode!" Golem glows yell then goes BOOM. The smoke clears to see both pokemon out.

Ash looks at the pair with disdain, then leaves. Pikachu gives a snort. "So those two are good huh?" The mouse laughs. "I'll admit they have lots of work to do" " A lot more than a lot" " Come on my electric mouse. "
The pair go into their rooms and sleep the rest of the night. But not before Pikachu gets in a luxury ball.
