Chapter 32: Promises: Kept or not?

Today Ash was battling young go getter named Barry. He had challenged the Sinnoh elite four more than anyone else, and even got to Cynthia in his latest runs. But she always won. Now he was here, hoping to challenge her once again. Barry was terrified, seeing as this trainer had mew in his pocket. But this trainer was also fair.  He would only use Mew if the opponent had a legendary, and Barry did not. 

Ref: Trainers, send out your Pokémon.

Barry: Gliscor!

Ash: Yanmega

Ash didn't even throw the ball. Yanmega just flew out of the side of Ash. The trainer was still tired from deflecting the power of a Legendary, so he wasn't going to use his power much. Yanmega was going to freestyle.

Barry: Fire Fang!

Gliscor rushed in and attempted to bite Yanmegas head. But the bug blasted it back with a bug buzz, then fired a shadow ball. Gliscor chopped the ball in half and fired a Sludge Bomb. Yanmega swiveled to the side and started charging up a solar beam.

Barry: Acrobatics!

Gliscor closed in and smacked Yanmega into the ground. However, it was actually a substitute. Solar beam finished charging and Yanmega fired a full-force Solar Beam from the sky. Gliscor hit the ground with a thud and started to get up slowly. Yanmega didn't give it a second and smacked it back down with Leech Life. The move restored all of Yanmegas' lost health and finished Gliscor off.

Well, that was supposed to happen, but Gliscor got up yet again. He flew towards his trainer but was breathing heavily.

Barry: All in ONE GO! HYPER BEAM!

A beam of pure energy launched towards Yanmega. The bug swivered but the beam clipped his wings. Yanmega yelped in pain, then fired a bug buzz. Gliscor can't move due to Hyper Beams effects, and Gliscor faints.

Barry: You did good. Rapidash, GO! Fire Blast!

Yanmega flew right into the blast, however he swerved into between the flames and hit the horse with an Aerial Ace. Rapidash smacked Yanmega with a mega kick. The flier hit the ground with a thud but got back up. Rapdash rushed him with flame charge, however Yanmega

Air Slash made the horse stubble into the dirt. Yanmega surrounded her with a storm of ...fire? Somehow Yanmega had used a fire move.

It was actually a hidden power however. Rapidash was quickly surrounded by flames. The horse attempted to break out, but they were too hot, even for a fire pony. Rapidash covered herself in power, and a couple pebbles started floating up. The horse rushed through the fire and hit Yanmega. Well, that would have happened, however Yanmega used U-turn out of instinct, swapping it out for the only other pokemon in Ash's current party.

A small creature came out. It was laying down, and it seemed to be asleep. But when the creature noticed it was in battle, she woke up and went into a battle stance. She read the situation clearly. Her master was tired, and Yanmega accidently used a U-turn. Rapidash was tired, so she must have just used Giga Impact.

The pokemon known as Milotic, the tender pokemon, was sent out. She was a powerful battler, and incredibly smart, in and out of battles. The snake fired a massive wave of water, bigger than the field could contain. It was so powerful that the shield was overwhelmed by the sheer power. Milotic wasn't even an ace of Ash's; she was just THAT good. 

 The crowd was soaked, and some even had to be rescued from drowning.  Ash had to use some of his power to make sure they didn't die, along with buffing up the shields.  He gave a look to Milotic, who just turned her beautiful head and laughed at her trainer. Ash shook his head and went back to planning his next Team Silver take over.
