Alex's POV

I woke up a bit confused about what day it was. I soon remembered that Artemi was out of town. The Hawks wags were going out to dinner tonight so we could all eat and watch the game together. Honestly, I missed being with them. They were all super nice and always made me laugh. I didn't have any photoshoots until late December so I was available for a whole month, thank the lord.

I decided to hop in the shower and maybe do a little shopping after. I washed my hair fast and dried off. I grabbed some leggings, a white tshirt and a grey cardigan. I put on some powder, brown eyeshadow, eyeliner, and mascara and brushed my hair and teeth.

I wasn't too hungry so I grabbed an apple and walked down to the garage. It was difficult not waking up next to Artemi. I hate it when he's out of town. I pulled out my phone and sent him a little text.

Alex: Good luck at the game! Score some goals for me🙂❤️

I hit send and got in the car. I tried to think of a few places to shop at. Maybe I could get Artemi a Christmas present. It's never too early, right? I mean, it's December 5th, we only have a few more weeks. But, I'm not sure what he wants. Maybe some hockey things, or maybe clothes.

We both decided to go out to Russia for Christmas, but we aren't going to see any family, which sucks. They all are either going on vacation somewhere else, or aren't located where we are going.

I drove to Water Tower with music blasting. I didn't know the words, but I danced along to the beat anyway. The whole time I drove, I kept on thinking what I could get Artemi. Then, it finally hit me.

Once I arrived, I hurried up to a little jewelry shop. They had all sorts of things; bracelets, rings, and watches. I walked over to a little charm stand. I looked through the glass and read the description.

"Choose up to 6 charms to put into the necklace!"

I made one of these a few months ago and it's honestly the cutest gift. I picked out a few charms to put into the glass cage that was on the necklace; Two A's for Artemi and Alex, and a few little red hearts. As I checked out, I felt my phone buzz in my pocket.

Artemi😊: Thanks, Al. Miss you a lot. Maybe FaceTime later? Love you

I felt the same butterflies form in my stomach like they did when we first said "I love you"

Alex: Sounds like a plan! Call me whenever. Love and miss you more.

I slipped my phone in my pocket and decided to head home so I could call Artemi.

Once I got in the car, my phone started ringing and of course, it was Artemi trying to FaceTime.

"Hey!" I said as I tried to place my phone somewhere so he could see me.

"Where are you going?" I saw him raising his eyebrow like always.

"Heading home, I just went shopping for a little" I told him as I started the car.

"Ohhhh, did you get clothes for the dinner tonight?"

"Nope, just got some presents for Christmas" I tried not to tell him what I got for him, no matter how hard. The past years, he's always tricked me into telling him what I got him. This year, its gonna be different.

"What did you get me!?" He had a goofy grin across his face.

"Not telling you" After he heard me, his grin disappeared.
