CHAPTER XXXII: BOYFRIENDS

"Tap down those boots while I beat around
Let's funk downtown."
- Lady Gaga, Dancin' In Circles

FORNEUS "SLATE" FURTUR

Normally if I tell the mortals, once they have discovered my identity, they would be shitless scared. Despite the fact that I'm a demon – and mortals should be really scared to death about that, they are more afraid of me marking them and spending the eternity with me. But Adrian is different. When I told him about a demon marking, he didn't react like I expected him to. I just received an Oh reaction, followed by a lot of kissing as we decided that if I marked him, we'd create lots of moments.

There were only a couple of mortals I had offered that, but they didn't accept it, which led me to dump them. And then they were killed, and now their souls are being tortured in Hell for, yeah, associating themselves with a demon.

However, in Adrian's case, it's different. Once I mark him, if he ever perishes, he will never be tortured in Hell. Adrian will be my right hand, and he will turn into a demon. He will become a fallen angel. Just like Satan, Rahab, and yeah, me, and the others.

I know Adrian doesn't want to be a fallen angel; he wants to remain pure and an angel. But sadly, if he's associating himself with me, then one day it's just going to go down – the Hell will be raised, and he will be converted into a fallen angel. Once he's changed, then there's nothing really I can do. I haven't heard of a story of how a demon got converted into an angel, or of an angel turned into demon, then turned back to being an angel. Demons and angels don't even know if that's possible, but what we always believe is it's not possible.

There has been a question bugging me, though, for quite some time now. Even right before I got converted into a demon, before I became a fallen angel, I've been asking myself: if angels can become a fallen angel, then demons can become pure, right? But just like my thought earlier, I haven't heard of a story of how a demon got converted into an angel. Seriously when do they consider an angel impure? Once they found out that he's not following the words of God? Once they found out that he has feelings that shouldn't be felt by an angel?

Yes, I'm talking myself. I knew that I joined the demons – but it's not really clear to me on why I got converted from angel to demon. Thinking back to that day, I remember telling the demons, just to prove myself to them, about the plans of the Heavens and the angels, and I told them that with rage and fury and hatred, and that's how I got in and was able to convince them. I was able to prove myself to them.

"You look so deep in thought," Adrian asks me as his index finger rubs the skin of my hand, making a circular motion. It's relaxing and making my insides calm. I look at him, loving the way his eyes twinkle brightly.

"Just had something inside my head that has been bugging me since forever," I reply back, heaving up a sigh as I stare at the blinking city lights of Brooklyn city. Tonight we're both in the same bad, duvet draped on us. My hand is placed on my bare chest, and his hand is resting on top of mine. He's pushed into me, his body pressing intimately against mine. Adrian looks at me with those eyes that I just want to admire forever – why did the Good Goddess, or whoever his creator was, decide to give him a beautiful eyes? The way his eyes bore into mine has me wanting to kiss him all day and night, never stopping. Adrian waits for me to say something, so I decide to let him know about what has been bugging me ever since. "I keep asking myself, when do angels get converted into a demon? Is it by the actions of an angel?"
