amelia had got a lift with ollie the next morning, as he claimed he wanted to spend more time with the girl. she promised to meet julie at the pep rally and that she'd return for her car later that evening. unfortunately for amelia, they had ended up in the gym with carries group 'dirty candy' was performing, what was even worse was that ollie was ignoring her to talk to savannah.

see 'em look
hear 'em "ohh ahh"
hands up, throw it back, boo yah
were the best no doubt
check it out
yeah we make 'em say "wow"

amelia noticed julie and flynn run into the gym, they spotted her and gave her a smile, which turned to a look of sympathy when they noticed who was on ollie's other side. "i'm going to see julie" amelia told her boyfriend, who simply waved her off half heartedly.

she ran down the steps towards her best friends.

"look who spent all her daddy's money on costumes and katy perry's choreographer" flynn said with false enthusiasm

"it paid off" julie commented

"don't let her freak you out" amelia said watching as carrie broke out into a very well choreographed number

yeah we're going sky high
never gonna settle
living in the fast lane
pedal to the metal
we see it, we want it
we get it, we got it
everybody lose control

we came to play, where you at
we're going hard just like that
yeah we the bomb
chain reaction
blow their minds and watch them

carrie gasped as she made it back to the chorus, amelia rolled her eyes, her face slipping between carrie and her boyfriend. suddenly three figures appeared behind the trio. amelia and julie jumped, while flynn was oblivious.

"what are you guys doing here?" julie hissed

"we wanted to hear you stick it to the man, isn't that right boys?" luke grinned

"and we wanted to hear millie shred on the piano" reggie added

"i wouldn't say i shred, i dabble" amelia shrugged, her eyes trained on her boyfriend again

"step into your greatness" julie told the older brunette. it was a phrase julies mom used a lot to help amelia gain confidence

"man i miss high school" reggie said staring at carrie as they danced to the bridge.

the comment sent an uneasy feeling into amelias stomach, one she didn't know the meaning of. she hadn't realised that the three ghosts had now turned their attention to whatever it was amelia was looking at.

"he doesn't deserve you" reggie told her softly

"i love him" she said simply "but he acts as if i don't exist sometimes"

"he's right, you don't deserve him" luke said "im your brother and i don't approve, he shouldn't treat you the way he does"

amelia wouldn't admit it but her heart swelled at luke calling himself her brother. she turned to look at the three of them with a soft smile, giggling when alex stared imitating carrie's dance.
