amelia stood in dance class, ollie was stood behind her in the position ready to start the dance. it was awkward between the pair and they just wanted to get today over with, they didn't even speak to one another.

"boys!" coach barron yelled "i want you to focus, and leave it all out on the field"

everyone looked really confused at his words, which all in all made everything 10x worse.

"you're losing them, frank" mrs kelly called "breathe in, shake out your nerves. surrender to the music and to your partner"

amelia sucked in a breath, not prepared for this  at all, but she remembered the advice that her mom told her that morning. she closed her eyes as the music started.

she danced the first 8 counts perfectly, and then when she opened her eyes she felt herself freeze. reggie was walking towards her, a smile on his pale face.

amelia took a step towards him, grabbing his hand as the world disappeared around them, leaving just the two of them, amelia started singing as well

reggie started singing again, grabbing one of her hands and reaching up for the other

the pair started harmonising together as the chorus hit, they jumped away from each other before reggie smiled and danced, moving back closer to her.

reggie then took the lead again with the vocals, circling around amelia and singing to her

amelia took a deep breath and continued singing, thinking about how close her and reggie have become in very little time

reggie grabbed her hand and pulled her towards her, singing to her before they both joined in at the chorus

amelia stopped dancing, and stood face to face with reggie, so close they were almost kissing, as she sang the bridge of the song, reggie rejoining at the chorus.
