𝒇𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆 ~ 𝒓𝒆𝒈𝒈𝒊𝒆 𝒑𝒆𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒔

amelia and julie road back to julies in silence, none of them knowing quite what to say. but it wasn't awkward or uncomfortable,  just content.

they climbed out the car and walked over to the porch in front of the door, where luke was sat on the railing. "hey" julie said

"hey" luke replied

julie stood next to him, while amelia leant against one of the pillars "sorry if i overstepped" julie sighed

"no, i just had to leave, that was.." luke trailed off

"you don't have to say anything" amelia interrupted

"yes i do" luke stated "i didn't have many regrets in life, except for running out on my parents, especially my mom. so thank you"

"you helped me feel connected to my mom, so... i just wanted to do the same for you" julie smiled

"that was perfect" luke smiled

he reached for julies hand, except it passed straight through, julie sighed and pulled her hand away, turning slightly

"this is an interesting little relationship you and i have" he grinned, making julie chuckle

amelia cleared her throat slightly, making her presence known again.

"oh i completely forgot, flynn said that the video my dad made is trending on youtube" julie explained, before noticing the look of confusion on luke's face and adding "that's a good thing"

"it means people love our music" amelia added

"we will definitely going to be getting calls from managers now" julie grinned

luke looked up and hesitated "there's something i have to tell you" he said "we figured out that we have unfinished business, that's why we came back as ghosts"

"oh" amelia said dully "what is it?"

"we have to play the show we never got to play" luke explained

"at the orpheum?" julie asked, luke nodded "that makes sense"

luke suddenly shot back, and hit the pillar opposite where amelia was standing. the jolt was nothing new to luke, but what was new was that amelia had shot back at the exact same time and was crouched on the floor rubbing her chest in pain.

"what was that!" julie exclaimed running towards amelia "are you okay?

"we don't have a lot of time" luke said "i don't know what happened to amelia, but the night that we missed the dance, we met this ghost and he put a curse on us. and if we don't do as he says then these jolts with destroy us"

"then why did i get it?!"

luke shook his head "i don't know! was this the first time it happened?"

"yeah, and it hurt like hell" amelia said before realisation dawned on her "wait! if the jolts destroy you, what are they gonna do to me?"

"i don't know, lia"

"well what does this ghost want?" julie asked
