Upon request of a follower, I fell deeper into researching Ann and her previous scandals as well as conflicting statements. I've since updated my previous entries on her (#7 and #8) in result. I've discovered private social media accounts belonging to Ann as well.

Despite everything she's done to damage the youth in the Creepypasta community, I have no intention of discussing how I managed to navigate to these private accounts of hers, nor attach links to said accounts. It's evident they were created with the intent to avoid the online persona she's curated, and I believe everyone has the right to privacy—though the manner in which I found them was rather very easy to do. I will, however, attach images from them to support what I have to say.

Additionally, I must note the primary social media accounts of hers I've skimmed over are her Facebook and Instagram, Facebook being where I've received most of my information for this entry.

This isn't necessarily about Ann's channel and its effects anymore. This is about her as a person and her issue with compulsive lying, and I'm disappointed. I'm disappointed she couldn't do better than this.

At first glance at her social media accounts, you see Ann as a normal woman. You see travel photos of cascading waterfalls, mountain ranges, towering palm trees along coastlines, and water stretching far out into the horizon. You see grins in selfies. You see rainbows and pride. You see a person behind the camera. You hear vulnerability in her statuses. You see potential, until you remember what she's done.

When I see her travel photos, I hear her telling her viewers about how she's juggling multiple jobs. When I see selfies of her with Apple Airpods in, I hear her telling her fans she's too far in poverty to eat proper meals. When I see her sharing Studio Ghibli photos on her timeline, I hear her telling her fans about how she's too busy to stick to a consistent upload schedule. When I see her inspirational posts about showing kindness to others and improving herself, I can still see her using a photo of a Brazilian man's corpse for her own benefit.

These aren't the only inconsistencies Ann has between her online and personal life; back in November of 2018, she uploaded a video on YouTube on her Puppet Strings channel where she discussed being homeless for a period of time. Also in the aforementioned YouTube video, she said she resided in Utah for some time after moving from Louisiana. From there, she settled "up north" in an undisclosed location "close to Canada."

Her Facebook implies otherwise. Firstly, she's from Newberry, South Carolina—as opposed to Louisiana, as she's stated on her YouTube channel. According to her Facebook Check-Ins, she's been in three towns over the course of three years. None of which are in Louisiana or Utah, though she's been in the general region the state of Louisiana belongs to. She's been in Arkansas in 2017, Texas in December 2018, and has been residing in Missouri since April 2019. None of those are "close to Canada." The closest she's been is her current location in Missouri, which is within the midwestern region of the United States of America. Even if she could've referred to Missouri in the video, the timeline doesn't correspond with her claims.

At first, I perceived this information to prove her YouTube persona, Puppet Strings, is simply a character for roleplay. Until I realized there's some truth to what she's said in her personal vlogs. She admitted to being homeless for a period of time in an Instagram post of hers, which was posted around the same time as her YouTube video.

She also has held two jobs simultaneously, just not during the period of time she's claimed to have done so

She also has held two jobs simultaneously, just not during the period of time she's claimed to have done so. She's held those two jobs since mid-2019, though one seems more as a side gig as opposed to a full-time commitment.

Additionally, her Puppet Strings DeviantArt account reveals her name is Anastasia Marie Gault, which is her real name. However, she's recently altered her surname to match her mother's and stepfather's, as her mother married someone new in 2019. If Puppet Strings is a character for roleplay, she's a self-insert with little to no variation in identity.

I don't know what I expected to find when I went through this venture, but all I returned with was a sense of void in reaction. I'm not surprised by this behavior. If she could lie through her teeth so easily in videos where she isn't appearing vulnerable to her audience, what would stop her when she is?

Anastasia, I know you'll likely never see this. But from what I could see on your personal social media accounts, I wish Puppet Strings was more like the person there instead. You shouldn't have to over-exaggerate or fabricate the chronicles of your life to feel as though others will find you interesting or feel sympathy for you. It's okay to actually be vulnerable. It's okay to let your guard down. Maybe more people would support you. In many ways, you are Puppet Strings, and Puppet Strings is you. But the lies need to stop. The toxic desire to find acceptance from others needs to stop. You can do better, because I see you have the drive and want to do so. Your execution is your failure.

 Your execution is your failure
