Let me paint you a picture,
It's a story of a girl,
Her life was like some sort of mixture,
She never realized she was worth even more than a pearl,
A priceless piece of artwork,
Filled with regret,
Everything felt like it hurt,
They tell her not to fret,
But she still feels sad,
She wonders about her future,
It almost makes her mad,
To her dismay she sees herself alone,
With not a soul around,
Not even a person that will be willing to pick up a phone,
She can't even hear a sound,
Why does it feel like there's so much distance?
Without a single thing before her,
She tries to hold back keeping a strong resistance,
Until she hears the soft voice of a cat's purr,
She knows she isn't alone and that there is hope for a brighter side of things,
Never in her life had she thought so much of a single animal,
One little cat could mean some much more than anything,
A small cat so precious was there for her,
To listen to her cries,
To let her bury her face in it's soft little fur,
The girl wanted so much to just break all the ties,
All the relationships that had broken her down,
Had made her feel incapable of feeling,
Given her that sad constant frown,
But there the girl sat kneeling,
Praying with her face buried into the small cat,
Trying to find a new hope,
Just making small chat,
But Satan won't hurt her nope,
Cause she's got God on her side.
