White Out

  • Dedicated to the white outs

Shaky breath,

And your lungs swell with air.

Deep breath,

And you've lost conciousness.

Dreams that overtake you,

And make you wish you were a fantasy.

Close your eyes,

And unlive all your mistakes.

Failures that consume you,

And break you to the bone.

It leaves you unstable,

And you shake as the earth around you quakes.

This is not penance,

You live a life of regret.

Every day is the same,

You cannot undo your mistakes.

This pain in your heart,

It searches and intertwines the organ in black.

You try to hide from yourself,

But you find yourself in an abyss.

This abyss is not nothing,

But everything.

Crying out will release peace,

And fufill the desire beneath your skin.

You try so hard,

So hard, to white out.

White out your life,

And who you are.

Have you forgotten your identity?

You were made to be more.

And you lost yourself,

So many years ago.

You've mistaken yourself for a blank page,

Colorless, unsatisfying, and useless.

You have the capability to be unimaginable,

Everything you could ever believe.

Unfortunate and hated, your beliefs scream,

When in fact you are the color.

The color that lights up the earth,

And sends the angels into a cry of desperate love.

You are more than life,

And yet you live in white out.

Show the world your color,

And unleash the beauty inside.

You are more than just blank space,

You are the definition of unfathomable,

Unspeakable, and unexplainable things.
