Athena P.O.V:

My stomach dropped at his words and my hand let go of Niall's.

"Excuse me?" I stuttered

"Oh well Athena, I think you heard it right. Or do I need to repeat myself?" Richard's voice made my blood boil

"And what is 'this' exactly?" Niall asked with a bit too much sarcasm in his voice

"You two are not going to be in a relationship, so get that idea out of your minds"

"First of all, we are not in a relationship, and second, you cannot decide our love lives"

Did i just stand up for myself? Where's my oscar?

"Oh Athena, dear sweet Athena. I will not decide your love lives" He stopped and made a brief pause "But I will decide your careers. It's simple, if you decide to get together, you" He pointed at me "Can forget all about your little dream, and all about your upcoming album. In the mid time, everyone is waiting for you at the studio. Don't make people lose their precious time, dear"

"Don't be upset darling, we'll talk later" A very familiar Irish accent whispered in my ear

I simply nodded, and followed Richard to the studio.

Niall P.O.V:

"Horan, to my office, right now" Richard demanded

"Yes Richard" I said while rolling my eyes

"Take a sit"

I did as told

"Look Niall, I don't want to be the bad guy here, and you know it. But you can simply not date her. Your fans are wild, and will get super upset if they know you are dating this little nobody. Sales will go down, shows in your upcoming tour will have to be suspended since the money won't be enough. You don't want that don't you?"

"No. Not at all" I sincerely admitted

"Then it's simple, stay away from Athena Rivers, and if you don't, you will be the one suffering the consequences. Understood?"

"Understood."

"You ready to go?" I told Ath after she finally came out of the studio

"Yeah." She briefly responded

"What's up with you?" I told her while we walked up to my car

"Nothing."

"Athena"

"Niall"

"What's up with you, and now answer me"

"I said, nothing" She started getting irritated

"And im supposed to believe that?"

"Yes." She answered shortly while getting in the car

"Well, I don't, so give me an answer I believe" I said while turning on the engine

"Look, Richard's right. Nothing can ever happen between us, im not your type"

I scoffed "Oh, you are gonna tell - me -, who is my type?"

"Niall, it's the best for both, you have your career and thousands of models and actresses and beautiful girls that would die to be with you. Don't settle down for low" She made a quick pause "And your music, and your tour, and your fans! Your fans! Imagine how mad they would all get if they know that you have a girlfriend!" Her tone getting louder with every word

"I don't care about what my fans think! And not all of them are that way!" I said while turning off the engine and getting out of the car. Soon she followed me.

Neither one of us caring about the fact that it was raining

"Niall, don't make this harder than it already is" Her voice cracking with every word

"Bullshit!" I yelled "Don't give up on us Ath, please. I believe we can do it. I like you and I know you like me" A single tear trickled down her face and she looked down "Give it a try Ath, if we fall down, let's fall down together. Don't you believe in me?"

"You see?! That's the problem! I do believe in you! I don't believe in myself! I don't believe that I will be enough to make you happy, I don't believe that I will be able to make you want me, I don't believe that I'm anywhere near to complete your standards. Niall I-"

"Just shut up"

I softly grabbed her chin and crashed her lips onto mine. My right hand was on her cheek and my left hand was resting on her waist. My right hand could feel her wet cheek in which tears and rain were spilled seconds before this moment. Her hands were wrapped around my neck and her fingers were softly playing with my now wet hair. Soon my right hand rested on her waist as well and pulled her close to me. It started as a soft and sweet kiss, but soon it began to be a desperate kiss, like we were both eager for the other's touch.

"Let's try this Ath, please. Would you go out with me?" I whispered in between kisses

Athena pulled away and stared at me for a second, but soon her lips crashed onto mine again, more desperate than before

"Im taking that as a yes" I breathed out

After a long make-out session in the rain, we pulled away and just stared at each ohter. I smiled widely and took her hands in mine, leading her to the middle of the street. I took her right arm and wrapped it around my neck, I took her left hand in mine, and rested my right hand in her waist. Soon I started leading her into a little dancing session, that became a crazy dancing session after a while

"Niall! Everyone's watching, stop!" She yelled in between laughs

"So? If the whole world was watching I'd still dance with you" I whispered while pulling her close to me again

"Using your own lyrics, Horan?"

"Well, the answer to that question depends on your opinion, baby girl"

"Don't you ever call me that again!" She laughed and covered her face with her hands

"What? Why? I thought girls liked it!"

"Well, maybe other girls do, but I don't. It's so cheesy and cringy, oh my god" Her cheeks were so red that looked like two little tomatoes

"You still didn't give me an answer"

"I'll guess you'll have to deal with the curiosity"

"Alright, baby girl" I said and pulled in for a final kiss
