Robin The Defeated Hero

Today is the day,

A hero puts her cape away,

A hero lets go of what hold her back,

Just for today,

Just for today,

She sets down her mask,

Puts down her weapons,

Takes off the hood,

Puts it all away,

She stares at her initials,

Imprinted in the bow and arrow,

 Sniffles a bit,

Realizes this is too hard for her,

A hero defeated,

A hero mistreated,

Robin,

Her hearts throbbin',

Goodbye she whispers,

The word bye lingers on her tongue,

But she knows it will be okay,

Just not today,

Not today,

Evil has won,

It finally beat her,

She was so blind,

It'd already defeat her,

She didn't know,

She didn't know,

Look who always wins,

They say it's the hero,

It's too twisted,

Too cheery,

 So she changed it,

Switched it up,

Let it go,

You've gotta know,

She'll be back,

Give her time,

She's torn,

Sad,

Angry,

Alone,

Annoyed,

Defeated.
