Chapter 1: Welcome to Hogwarts

It was Y/n's first year at Hogwarts. "Mum? I'm worried." Y/n looked up at her mother, they were standing on platform 9 ¾. Her leg was shaking and she was biting her lip. Her mother looks down at her with a smile.

"Y/n L/n. You. Are. Amazing. I don't want you to ever think otherwise, and if those people can't see that, they're idiots." She smiles down at her daughter. Her daughter looks gratefully at her mother. She embraces her mother into a long hug. After a minute, Y/n pulls away. "Now go show Hogwarts what an amazing witch you are." Y/n takes a breath and confidently steps onto the Hogwarts Express. She waves to her mother, her mom grins proudly at her as she disappears into the train. Y/n sees students walking through the halls as well as, sitting and laughing in compartments with their friends.

She continues down and stops outside a compartment with two young boys. She slides the door of the compartment open and the two boys look up at her. "Hey, you two. Can I sit here?"

"Yeah." The redhead nods at her smiling. She takes the seat right across from the one who had greeted her.

"Hello?" Y/n looks straight at the boy next to her. He seemed to have been staring at her.

"Huh? Oh, um... h-hi." He snaps out of whatever trance he was in.

I was talking with my new friend, Ron. A girl, looking around our year, slid open the door, "Hey, you two. Can I sit here?" She was fiddling with her bracelet, yet somehow still looked oddly confident. She was one of the prettiest girls that I had ever seen.

"Yeah." Ron smiles at the new girl. She sat down right next to me, I couldn't help staring at her. She had beautiful blue eyes, as well as wavy dirty blonde hair. Her face was also speckled with freckles.
