if y/n and atsumu could describe the walk to school in the morning, they'd both use the word 'awkward'. the things they told each other last weekend made them feel closer, but only when they were alone.

osamu walks in awkward silence between atsumu and y/n. he waits for a snide remark from atsumu and a threat from y/n, but nonetheless nothing was spoken for the twenty minute walk to the bus stop.

'maybe on the bus, they'll say something,' osamu thinks as he sits down on the last available seat. y/n stood in front of osamu, holding onto the handle bar next to her, but then flinches when atsumu accidentally grabs her hand. "s—sorry," they both stutter, turning away from each other.

at school, it became worse. y/n and atsumu walks down the hallways together as usual, but from afar,
osamu knew that they were both being self conscious about the people around them when they held hands. as the confusion built up in osamu's head, he decided to let it go before he somehow became too invested.

"—that's too bad l/n-senpai," a girl's voice says from around the corner atsumu was about to walk around. atsumu instantly stops, grabbing onto osamu's arm to pull him away from their sights. "how long until you can swim again?"
