           Mina,

Where are you? I'm outside of Solana's apartment.

           Wrex.

Wrex stood outside the apartment complex surprise to have found it empty. It had been a week since he had left the Citadel to take care of some business and had hoped Aster would be at the apartment when he returned. He was starting to wonder if something had happened to her.

Wrex waited a few more moments but still didn't hear from her.

'Where could she be?' Wrex thought to himself. 'If she had been caught, it wouldn't have been all over the news. Does she have another safe house?'

Wrex sent a quick message to Solana asking if she knew where Aster was staying or if she knew where Aster had gone off to. He had to wait several more minutes before he was able to receive an answer.

                 Wrex

I don't know where Mira would have gone off to. Last I heard she was going to be staying with my brother. I haven't heard from her since. Have you checked with him?

           P.S

I'm on my way back from a job I had to do. Nihlus is with me.

                Solana

'Vakarian,' Wrex thought pissed off. 'I should have thought about it sooner. If he does anything to Aster, I'll have his head.'

Without a second thought, Wrex marched over to Vakarian's apartment on the other side of the city. The receptionist at the front desk called after him but Wrex ignored her. He had business he needed to discuss with one of their residents. Once he stood outside the apartment door, without hesitation he pounded on the door as loud as he could.

"Vakarian," Wrex said loudly. "I know you're in there."

A few neighbors poked their heads out and stared at the angry krogan, a few of them curious as to why a Spectre had a krogan visiting his personal home.

It didn't take long for Garrus to open the door. When Wrex saw him, he grabbed him by the collar and pushed him into the nearest wall.

"Where is she?" Wrex asked.

"What are you talking about?" Garrus asked pushing away from the krogan the best he could.

"Mira," Wrex said pushing him back into the wall. "I can't find her and she's not responding to my messages."

"I don't know where she's at," Garrus replied glaring at the krogan. "I'm not her keeper."

Wrex growled at him, his fingers itching to shoot the turian. Garrus knew that Wrex was on the verge of doing something that might jeopardize the mission. He couldn't afford an altercation at this moment and he sure didn't want C-Sec to be called.

"Solana said she was supposed to be staying with you," Wrex said. "We all had the assumption that Mira would be safe with you. If she's not here, where is she?"

"I don't know where she's at," Garrus replied. "She stopped by but didn't stay."

"I failed to see how she wouldn't have stayed," Wrex said. "Unless you kicked her out and didn't allow her to stay."

"Without Mira, Aster cant' be helped," Wrex reminded the turian. "For her sake, I hope nothing happened to her."

Wrex pushed him once more into the wall before making his way out of the apartment. He ignored the onlooking neighbors and went to see if he could find Aster before any trouble could find her.

Wrex asked around several asari shops and was able to get directed to the restaurant Aster had eaten the day she left Solana's apartment. He spoke to the bartender but wasn't told anything useful.

'If she came here to eat,' Wrex wondered. 'That would mean she found a place near here to stay at.'

'But there are no places to stay at,' Wrex thought looking around the area. 'Unless she found a place on the upper walkways...'

Without drawing any more attention to himself, Wrex made his way to the closest access panel that would lead him to where he needed to go. Once he was up there, Wrex spent several minutes looking for Aster.

Wrex sent another message to Aster, hoping she would respond this time.

I'm in the upper walkways. Come out.

'Where are you?' Wrex asked as he kept looking around for her. 'Why aren't you answering?'

Wrex heard a notification ping from his omni-tool. Solana asked Wrex as she landed on the Citadel:

                  Was she with my brother?

Wrex wasn't sure how to tell her but he didn't want to lie either:

She didn't stay with him. May have a lead.

Solana answer didn't take long to appear:

Meet me at my brother's place.

Wrex wasn't so sure that it would make any difference but he agreed to meet her there. When he arrived Solana was already knocking at the door, just like he had been earlier.

"Where is she?" she asked as the door opened. "Why isn't she here?"

"Solana," Vakarian said. "Did you just get back? Where's Nihlus?"

"He went to inquire about any captures," Solana replied angrily as she pushed her way into the apartment.

Wrex followed after her. Glad to see the turian shaken.

"What happened?" Solana asked taking a deep breath. "From what Mira told me, she was going to come to your place while Wrex and I were gone from the Citadel."

"She stopped by," Vakarian answered slowly. "But I told her she couldn't stay here."

"Why?!" Solana asked exasperated. "Brother, why would you do something like that?"

"I'll tell you why," Wrex interrupted. "He doesn't like her. Ever since Mira showed up asking to help Aster, he's only cared about saving Aster and freeing himself from his guilt!"

"I have no guilt," Vakarian replied.

"Ha ha ha," Wrex laughed. "I know all about your guilt. Our mutual friend told me all about it."

"And what mutual friend may that be?" Vakarian asked glaring at Wrex.

"Hmmm, you really want to know," Wrex teased. "Maybe you should know."

"Wrex don't," Solana hastily said.

"Don't what?" Vakarian asked. "What are you not telling me?"

"If Mira wanted you to know," Solana said slowly. "She would have told you."

"Told me what!?"

At this point, Vakarian was almost yelling.

"What's with the big secret?"

Wrex and Solana shared a glance but they dared not tell Garrus what they knew.
