"Have you found her yet?" Solana asked for the hundredth time as Garrus went through the CCTV cameras in the entire Citadel.

"I haven't," Garrus replied doing another huge scan on the cameras. "I'm scanning but nothing is showing up."

"I can't believe you," Solana continued. "Why did you kick her out? Why didn't you let her stay?"

Garrus glanced at Solana but didn't reply. He had no answer that would satisfy his sister's curiosity. He wasn't sure why he didn't like Mira but there was just something about her that set him on edge. Every time he was near her, she didn't feel like a normal person. He had been around enough humans to know how they were supposed to feel like.

Mira didn't feel like they were supposed to. He didn't understand why she didn't. That feeling was why he didn't like her. It was so strange to him, all he could do is treat her with such coldness and callousness. Garrus didn't know why Solana and everyone else didn't feel it.

Why couldn't they understand that she was different? Why didn't they see it?

Garrus shook his head knowing that they would one day see the 'real' Mira; someday soon.

"We'll find her," the krogan said with an air of confidence. "Or she'll find us. I don't know how she does it but she'll know where we are."

She'll find us?? She'll know where we are? Garrus thought. Why would he say it like that?

"Is that something you want to share with me?" Garrus asked knowing that they wouldn't say anything.

"Don't worry about it," the krogan replied just like last time.

Garrus huffed and went back to his work. He still couldn't believe how tight-lipped his sister and the krogan had been about that human. First, they sided with her and now they would even tell him what they knew about the human. How was he supposed to trust her with Aster's well-being if they wouldn't tell him anything?

Perhaps that's why he had reached out to the Councilor. Not only was the Councilor informed of what was going on but he also had his suspicion about the human. Garrus knew that his activity was being monitored and that's why he refused to help the human when she had stopped by. He didn't want the Councilor to think that he was involved with her. Garrus wanted to make sure he was in good standing with the Councilor to help Aster.

Since the human had left his apartment, Garrus had reached out to the Councilor about their next step. All the Councilor had asked Garrus to do is to wait for the human to show up to his apartment and everything else was going to be taken care of. He wasn't sure what that meant but Garrus trusted the Councilor. However, it had been two days since Solana had returned and the human hadn't shown up.

"Is everything alright?" Nihlus asked coming over to where he sat. He had stayed silent up until now.

"I don't know what's the fascination about the human," Garrus replied softly. "They seem to only care about the human and not Aster."

"I'm sure they care," Nihlus said with an odd note in his voice. "Shepard means a lot to many people. We all want her honor and reputation returned."

"Do you think this plan is even worth it?" Garrus asked pretending to go along with it. "I'm concerned the human won't be up to it."

"That human is up to it," Nihlus said in an assuring voice.

"Has Solana said anything about the human to you?" Garrus probed subtlety. "I'm worried about her."

Nihlus gave him a long look but shook his head.

"All I know is that they're friends," Nihlus said. "Solana always talks about Mira, how great she is."
