A week went by. Today I'm heading over to my dad's house, to meet his fiancée. And he told me to bring Violet, or I wouldn't be allowed to enter the house. I laughed at that.

"Will you come?" I asked as I changed, Violet's diaper.

"I can't, I have to be at the office." He fixed his tie.

"You get off at 5pm. Dinner is at, 7pm." I put on a dress on Violet, and then placed her in the crib. "What's going on?"

"Savannah, sometimes work takes more than 5 o'clock."

"But, you always come late, you're always in a bad mood. Well except for when you talk to the neighbour." Tears fell down my cheeks. "Are you cheating on me again?"

He laughed humorless. "Really, Savannah? I'm either at work or home. I don't have time for your insecurities."

"What do you expect me to believe. You did cheat-"

"Enough!" He yelled. "I'm tired, exhausted. I haven't been sleeping well. I'm not cheating on you, so please let's drop it here!"

He has never yelled at me. He has changed ever since, Violet, arrived. I didn't say anything to him, I just turned my gaze, to my baby and then I heard a door slammed. More tears fell down my cheeks

I picked up, Violet, grab her bag and then left. I didn't want to stay here anymore. After 20 minutes, I arrived at my dad's place. I removed Violet, from her car seat, and grabbed her bag. I knocked on dad's door and he opened it, then took Violet, from my hands.

"You're very early, not that I mind having you here, I'm just curious. What's going on?" He asked as we sat on the couch.

"Luke and I, are going through a rough patch. I think is because, Violet, wakes up a lot and cries. Well, I don't mind it because it lets me know she's alive, and because I love everything about her. But, I think Luke, doesn't like Violet. Because he is not her father."

"Weird, because I went to the hospital when she was born, Luke's, father told me where you were. He said I should know, even if things between us weren't the best. I didn't enter cause you were asleep, and I didn't know if you wanted me there, so I peeked through the window. Luke held, Violet and the way he was looking at her, was the same way I did, when you were born."

"That was at the hospital were there was help. At home is different, he's always angry, he doesn't kiss me anymore." I cried. "I know I shouldn't have fallen for someone who forced me to marry him, but I did. And it hurts."

"Little princess," he grabbed my hand. "Part of this, is my fault I made you go with him too, and all for money. I'm sorry."

"That's the past dad. I don't regret marrying him. I just hope we can talk and fix things. If he doesn't want to talk or ignores me, I'll divorce him." I wiped my tears. "I can't stay with someone, who doesn't like my daughter."

"I'll support you, no matter what." He lightly pinched my cheeks.

I chuckled. "The last time you pinched my cheeks. Was when I was 5 years old."

He smiled. "I just miss you a lot."

"Me too, dad." I smiled back. "It's so good to have the old caring and loving dad back." I kissed his cheek.

"I'm glad I got this second chance. Got the company running, and I got you back and I have a grandchild."

"And you're engaged."

He chuckled. "Doesn't get better than that." I nodded as I smiled.

Hours later, it was time for dinner. The doorbell rang and dad went to open the door. I was on the couch, changing her diaper.

"Marissa, meet my daughter. Savannah."

She took a seat next to me and we shook hands.

"Nice to meet you, dad has told me how crazy he is for you." I smiled at her.

"Jake, is just the sweetest. He has talked so much about you, that I already wanted to meet you." She smiled back.

"Mom, why buy so many baby stuff. You don't even know this baby and already going crazy."

That voice, could it be.. nah, what are the odds that it could be-

"Savannah?"

"Matt?"

"You know each other?" Marissa asked us.

"Well, he is best friends with my husband. Never thought we would become family." I said.

Matt chuckled. "Where is he?"

I furrowed my brows. "I thought he was at the office. He said he has so much work, and that's why he comes home late."

He sighed. "He wasn't at the company."

So, he is at Laura's. I don't want to cry, so I did my best to hold them in. "Maybe he went home early. Silly Luke." I chuckled. "I need to pee, please hold her for me."

I placed Violet, in Matt's arms and then went to my bedroom. I slid down to the floor and cried. I'm tired of this. Eventually I got up, washed my face and then came outside.

"All better, I even took a nap." I giggled. Where's, Violet?"

"In her room," Dad told me.

"Yeah, with all the baby toys, clothes etc. Mom went crazy." Matt sighed. I chuckled and thanked Marissa.

We all walked to the guest bedroom and it was transformed into a nursery. I smiled at that. Today has been eventful, the crazy part, Matt was about about become my step brother. The bright side, Marissa is so sweet and caring. And I got to know Matt, better. He's actually nice too. I didn't ask him about Valerie, though. I have enough with Luke.
